I pulled up to the mall with Maddie and hopped out of the car.

We walked to the Starbucks she worked at. It was across the hall from hot topic where I work.

"Maddie can you make me a turtle mocha please?" I ask her sweetly.

"4.23 darling" she says as she hands me the medium sized cup. I thank her and walk to the store I love.

I sit behind the counter looking across the hall to see Maddie leaning on the bar table on her phone. Soon my phone dings.

M. Hottie coming into yours

I look up to see a boy with bleached blonde hair, piercings everywhere ( grossly everywhere ) and a gangly figure and sunken face.

L. No way ! Eww

This goes on for a while and soon it's noon. And my break time. I walk over to Maddie's place and gesture her to come over.

"Hey sorry I have to work a few extra shifts. Would you mind helping out please?" She says hopefully.

"Sure I like working as a barista!" I say in my cheery voice.

She smiles and we go and get pizza. Then I realize I have five minutes to get back to work so I'm seed waking to the other end of the mall.

I make it just as my alarm beeps. I sigh and go back behind the counter. I continue to eat my pizza as I see a man come up to star bucks.

L. CODE RED LOOK WHOS COMING TO YOU!!

At the same time my phone dings.

M. EXTREMELY HOT MAN COMING YOUR WAY LOOK OUT.

I look up and see a tall man with brown hair. He has black gages. I will admit he is good looking but I don't get a good look because I'm watching Maddie stare at that raven haired guy at her place.

I smirk. I can feel the chemistry from here.

I don't get a good look at the brown haired guy from my store. But I can see him looking around.

Then my phone rings. It's Maddie.

"How may I help you oh so powerful hobbit?" I say in a posh voice.

"Why thanks my hair isn't that bad today so don't even start you little potato." She says back.

I giggle and it soon turns into a restrained laugh.

"Anyways did you see that guy he was sooo great. We talked for a bit his names Phil. And it looks like he's headed towards you. Apparently his friends name is Dan and he's the one I warned you about. He even got the same as you do." She rambles.

I laugh at her again. The man by the name of Dan walks up to the register.

"I got to go Maddie I'll talk to you when I'm helping you with those shifts ok? Bye!"
I say not waiting for her to answer.

I start ringing up the items that consist of a few pop figures and a tee shirt of totoro.

"23.67 is your total sir....." I trail off as I look in his eyes for the first time. There a really comforting shade of warm brown. I got lost in them.

Soon I catch what I'm doing and snap out of it. "Sorry." I say blushing a slight bit.
He hands me the money.

I hand him the change and start putting the items into the bag. I recognize one of them. Sirius black. "

"Harry potter fan?"

"Course I am. You?"

I show him my hufflepuff tank top.
" of course. What house are you in?"

"Slytherin you?"

"Hufflepuff "

"Really you seem like you'd be a Gryffindor"

"I'll stick with Tonks besides its near the kitchens. "

" so where you from you don't have a British accent." He asked

" oh I'm from Minnesota. It's in the northern part of America. My best friend and I moved here about a year ago. She actually is right there!" I say as I point over to her. She waves and I wave back enthusiastically.

He chuckles a bit. " ya my friend Phil was staring at her. I'm the one who made him go up and talk to her. "

"Well good going I'll have to question her later." I smirk.

"Lilly Andrews " I say sticking my hand out to shake.

"Daniel Howell but call me Dan." He says. Shaking my hand.

"Fancy that a hufflepuff getting along with a slytherin." He jokes.

I roll my eyes

"Hufflepuffs get along with everyone if they want." I retort sassily.

He puts his hands up in mock surrender.

I laugh triumphantly.

I print out the receipt and hand him the copy to sign.
He hands it back to me. And I hand him the bag.

He leaves the store and I look down at the receipt.

It has a number written down on it.

I put the number into my phone and leave the shop in the next employees hand to head over to Maddie to help her.

(8:30pm)

Most people have left but the mall is open 24/7 so we're here for about two more hours.

"So Maddie I have a number want to call it." I ask her.

"Sure nothing's going on here" she says.

I dial the number and put it on speaker.

"Hello?" The person in the other line answers.

"Hi I work at hot topic and someone wrote down their number on a receipt so i decided to call it. Who are you?"

I say.

"Oh yeah it's me Dan. How are you Lilly?"

"Oh I'm good I'm helping Maddie out with some extra shifts and no ones here so it's indescribably boring so I decided to find out whose number this is."

"Curious little girl aren't you!" He says.

"HEY! I may be five foot but i am 20 so I'm not a girl ok a woman. Well.. A five year old trapped in a 20 year old body. " I say

He laughs on the other end and Maddie does too.

This goes on until we have to go home. We say out good byes and we go home.
