Parks are crazy

Phil and Maddie left. It was just me Dan and Ellie.

I avoided contact with him witch was relatively easy because once Maddie and Phil left she grabbed my hand.

"Sissy are you sure we don't need to take you to a doctor?" She says seriously.

Dan looks at me confused and scared.

"Um for what exactly ele belle?"
"To make sure you aren't foreverly tramasticlyiesd!" She says

"You meant permanently traumatized from using the bathroom?"

"Yah that word."

I laugh
"No I'm positive I'm ok"

She raises her eyebrow
"Ok" she says and goes back to her drawing.

I look over at Dan whose holding back laughter.

"You ok over there Danny?" I say jokingly.

He tried to open his mouth but ends up laughing.

I laugh a bit and roll my eyes. I turn back to my sister and look at her drawing.
"Watch ya making Ellie?" I ask.

"A picture."
"What of?" Dan chimes in
"It's a surprise I'll tell you when we leave."
Dan shrugs and I look worried.

"What's wrong?" Dan asks.

"She's very creative. And when she's this quite and wants it to be a surprise that's never a good combination." I explain.

"Ok I'm done now. We can go and hang it up on the fridge now. " Ellie squeaked.

I pull her on to my lap.

"Well you gotta tell us what it is first. Then if you want I can write a caption for it." I say.

She flattened out the paper to show me.
It's a few stick figures. With assorted colors and scribbles.

"See its you Maddie Dan and Phil!" She says proudly. Pointing to each color person.

I smile.
"What color do you want the words?"

"Black please!"
"Great choice!" Dan laughs.

I write the caption down and Ellie takes back the paper.

"Dan are you coming back to our aparteaahment?" Ellie asks.

"Apartment Ellie"
"Yeah that well are you?" She says.

Dan and I look at each other.

"I don't mind." I say.

"Sure I'm free" Dan says smiling.
I smile back

"Oh! Oh! I have an idea and a good one too!" Ellie says excited.

"Ok what is it?" I say giggling a bit.

"Can we go to the park across the street I want to go down the slide and I want to fly!" She says happy.

"I don't see why not unless your sister has any objections." Dan says.

"Sure why not." I say

"Spiffing lets hop to it!" Ellie says hopping off my lap grabbing my hand and pulling my out the store.

I'm laughing and so is Dan.
"I've never heard that word come out of your mouth Elle!" I say. Between laughs.

Dans laughing too.
"Wait a minute why dose she have a British accent but you have an American one?" He inquires.

"Oh that. Well I used to live in Minnesota but I moved here with Ellie when she was one so she grew up around British ones and I with Minnesotan." I explain.
