Chapter 7

The rest of the day went by pretty quickly, considering it was a monday.

I didn't see Austin after maths, oh well.

As I was walking out of school I decided to ring Freya.

''Hello.'' Freya spoke after she picked up the phone.

''Hey, it's Sophie, do you still want me to come round?'' I questioned.

''Yeah sure, walk to mine now.''

''Okay, I will be there in 5 minutes.'' I told her.

''See you soon.''

Within 5 minutes I had reached Freya's house.

As I walked through the door I placed my bag on the floor ans sit on the opposite sofa to Freya.

''How was your day ah home, you feeling better?'' I asked.

''It was alright, quite boring though and yeah I am. How was school?''

''Fine actually, oh you will never guess who I have to sit next to in Maths?''

''Who?'' Freya said and she sat up.

''Austin.''

''Oh Sophie, why would you sit with him.'' Freya spoke and I could tell she was extremely unimpressed.

''I didn't choose to, Mr Woods put me there. But that's not the worst part.''

''Then what is?''

''Mr Woods set us homework.. A maths paper online.. to complete with the person you sit with.''

''Does, does that mean..'' Freya spoke.

''Yes, it does, I have to meet him after school.''

''You can't do that!'' Freya stood up.

''It's homework! I have to!'' I replied.

''But not with him, not alone anyway!'' Freya told me.

''Why not! I can hold my own!'' I said confidently.

''If you say so, but if he hurts you don't blame me because I told you so.'' Freya spoke as if she knew everything.

Later that night I was sitting on my laptop just scrolling though YouTube trying to find a video to watch, when my phone went off.

Maths tomorrow after school at my place? x

Is going to Austin's house a good idea? Probably not. Am I going to go? Yes, of course.

Yeah sure, what time? x

I hope it's not too late, I don't want to walk home in the dark. Pathetic, I know.

How about 5:30? x

Yeah, that's fine x

I really, really hope this goes okay.

To be honest i'm intrigued to find out about the real Austin. Maybe he's just the way in his to keep his reputation? Well i've decided it's now my job to find out.
