Chapter 12

It was now Math and I was sitting in my seat waiting for Austin to arrive. Of course Austin being Austin arrives 5 minutes late.

"You're late, Austin." Mr Wood calls him out as he walks into the classroom.

"I know." Austin said and sat down next to me with his back against the wall.

"Austin," I whispered.

"What?"

"Am I really just the girl your kissing this week?" I did air quotes with my fingers.

"What the fuck did you think we we're." Austin whispered back.

"Well I thought-" He didn't let me finish.

"Well I guess you thought wrong Sophie." He snapped. I guess I did, I don't know why, though.

*Austin's POV*

Of course I didn't mean what I just said, I just don't really know how to handle my own feelings. I feel something that I've never felt before. I don't have anyone to explain the way I feel about Sophie to. Alex, Robert and Zach are my best friends but they all see me as the guy who is with a different girl each week. I did try and I mean try to explain Sophie to them but they all assumed that she was just my girl for this week, so I went along with it. I didn't mean to tell her that she was just one of them girls but I guess I'm trying to cover up my own feelings as well.

Should I do something to prove that I have these odd feelings for her or do I try and let is fade away?

*Sophie's POV*

I'm so glad that class is over.

Austin was so cute last night and I felt as if everything was perfect. He seemed so sincere and I loved that.

I guess I will just have to try and forget. Forget him.

Friday had finally come, it was the day after Austin basically told me that we were 'nothing'.

School had finished and I was at Freya's house, we heard there was a party tonight, so we might as well go and see if it's worth it or not.

I was wearing a pale blue dress which came to the middle of my thighs and a pair of flats. I wasn't really in the mood for a party but I was hoping it would take my mind off things.

The party had been going on for a couple of hours, it was crazy! I have never been to a party like this!

I hadn't seen Austin here, but that was a good thing.

"Go and kiss someone, Sophie! I'll make it much better!'' Freya yelled over the loud music.

"I can't!"

"Yes you can! I will help you!" Freya dragged me into the crowd.

Freya whispered into this guys ear, pretty sure his name is Matt, i've seen him before.

"This is Matt, Sophie, you'll get on well." She told me and walked off.

Matt leaned down and aggressively tackled my lips, his lips were rough and nothing like Austins. His hands roamed my back with no respect for me whatsoever, especially since he had been introduced to me 5 seconds ago!

Matt broke the kiss and held onto my hand tightly, he pulled me through the crowd, my eyes met with Austin's, he looked tense and his eyes squinted when he saw Matt dragging me through the crowd. Cold air hit me, I was now outside and I had no clue where he was taking me. He unlocked his car and pointed at passenger seat. Matt still hadn't spoke a word to me, right now my heart a quickened, but for all the wrong reasons. Fear.
