It was another typical Saturday morning.I got up from my soft white cotton sheets and jumped out of bed, then opening the silk curtains wide as i can. I looked out my window and saw the view. Neverland. It was more beautiful everyday. The sun shining, the trees rustling and the beautiful green lush grass that stretched for miles up to those beautiful tall hills in the distance.
I quickly went down, not bothering to change , so I was still in my pyjamas.
" Daddy!" I said bounding into the kitchen.
It was silent. Maria , the nanny looked up from the stove and ushered me.
" come darling eat , your father ain't here at the moment"" where is he then?" I asked confused, sitting down.
I always saw him here. Breakfast was the fun part of the morning, where we talked and watch cartoons. The only time Michael would ever miss breakfast with me is if he overslept...
" he's in his room isn't he" i said jumping.
" now Katy you know your not allowed in his room"I sulked. That was one of his rules too. He wanted his room to be private, a place where only him was allowed.
" Can't I at least knock?" I pleaded.
" no honey"I ate breakfast alone, twirling my fork around the runny egg yolk, barely touching my toast.
" Daddy makes this better" I mumbled.
" Huh?" Maria said turning round.
" nothing I'm finished" i said standing up, pushing the plate away.Soon Michael walked in , still wearing his pyjamas, his hair tousled and messy as if he was tossing and turning all night.
" Princess" he said smiling. I smiled instantly At his beautiful smile.
" I took hold of his hand"
" lets eat together daddy"But this breakfast wasn't normal. It was too quiet. He nibbled feebly on his toast and took one sip from his orange juice. I had crumbs spraying from my face and orange juice trickling down my shirt.
He laughed and took a napkin, then dabbed my face slightly.
" honey get change, I'm taking you to the studio"
