Chapter 6

                         MYA'S P.O.V

Me: I'm so glad that it's the last day of school .. momma was right, it did pass by fast .

I went to my 1st period class hoping my teacher doesn't get on my nerves ..

Teacher: Goodmorning Mya .

"Goodmorning", I said as I walked in the class . Everyone looked at me as I walked in . I'm get nervous when I feel like I'm the center of attention . The teacher started talking about the 'Cell Reproduction Process' . I love biology but I have too much on my mind .

*Dismissal bell rings*  "MYA WAKE UP !", one of my classmates yell as they rub my back . I jumped out of my sleep in search of my bookbag . "There it is", I think to myself as I grab it . I walked to the front of the school to catch my ride .

Momma: Hey mya, how was your day ? did you know that you're grandma paid for you to go on a girls retreat to 'San Antonio, Texas ?', she said with a pleasant smile .

Me: my day was okay *smirk* I just fell asleep .

Momma: yo ass better pass or you ain't going on that damn retreat .

She looked at me with a serious face and hit my on my arm playfully & paid attention to the road again .

When we arrived home she told me to pack my bags before it gets "late" (10:00) . I grabbed everything I needed and put it in the bag .

Me: I have everything packed momma, I just need to go get my wallet .

Momma: go get it so I could put it in the car for yuh .

I gave her my bags & watched her walk out the door . She walked back inside and gasps .

Momma: "I forgot ! I have to go to the ATM to get some more money for you", she said in a rush .

Me: okay let's go, we'll have to leave at 6 remember ? I have to get there early so I could get situated .

I look at my mom with a stern face so she could remember . We went to the ATM and got the money, before you know it I was home . I took a shower & went to bed ....
