We rode in the van without Nicole. Instead of me being speechless, I was so noisy (yes, I’m noisy when I’m nervous). Whenever I talk, I go something like this:

a.) Me nervous when talking to Val

Me: Val! What are we going to do? Nicole’s gone and, and, and she’s been taken and, and, and-

Val: I know that okay? No need to remind me.

b.) Me nervous when talking to Bruce

Me: Bruce (kept on shaking him), where can we see her? Who will keep my secrets? Who will I-

Bruce: (put my arms away from his shoulders) we’ll see her soon.

Me: How?

Bruce: Stop talking then I’m trying to concentrate!

Well, what do you know? We already reached school. So, I went down the van quickly. Rushed in the ground floor, the hallway, stairs and reached classroom.

“Princess, Mariya, Tracy!” I screamed.

“Whoa, slow down rusher. What’s the rush?” Tracy asked.

I was trying to catch my breath “Well, one time we went to Bruce’s house and,”

“And,” Princess asked.

I was still trying to catch my breath. “And-”

“Kristina, why do you run so fast?”

“What really happened?” Mariya asked.

Val, Bruce and I were telling what happened. And I know by the looks in their face, they didn’t get the story.

“Stop, I didn’t get it.” Cess said.

“I knew it that they didn’t get it.” I whispered to myself.

“One at a time, please.” Tracy said.

“I’ll explain.” Val said.

“Okay you, Mr. Boyfriend.” I said and laughed.

“Not funny Krisa.” Bruce said.

“Okay,” I said. “I’ll stop.”

Val did explain all right. And at the end, when Val told about the letter behind the doll, the trio was mystified.

“Where’s the doll?” Yabi asked.

I removed the doll out of my bag. “Here,”

The three were reading the letter and identifying the like they were inspectors. I know that move of theirs. What they’re checking is the handwriting. I know some of their parts. They’re the best people who can detect handwritings. I mean, they’re the best.

“Not familiarized.” Tracy said.

“Your mother,” Someone said and I know its Bien because he’s the only guy that kept on saying ‘your mother’ in a funny way.

All of us laughed.

“Why? What’s wrong with ‘your mother’?” Bien asked us.

Still, we kept on laughing. But this time, louder. By the time we stopped, Ayessa, A.K.A. Sisa Padilla, just attended the practice for the afternoon.

Andito na si Sisa, si Sisa Ayessa.” Mariya sang it.

“Hey Sisa Ayessa Feeling Padilla!” Cess said.

“Oh, what’s wrong?” “She said it with a mean voice.

“Nothing, it’s just, why are you late?” I asked.
