9- Who's Ready To Party?

(Friday night you guys)
"Damn, Braelynn you are fire tonight!" Molly proudly compliments me. I grin. "Thank you, but I think you need to look in the mirror at yourself girl!" I say. "Okay guys, we should get going before we really get convinced you guys are a thing." Xander says with a playful tone. I slap his arm lightly but we all follow him out. Since apparently no one believes in using multiple cars, we sit like this:
Xander drives, Emma is sitting in the passenger's seat. Behind her is Rowan then Quinten, and then Gage. Where does that leave Molly and I? On the floor. Molly is in front of her boyfriend and I am seating in front of Rowan. Oh, the joy.
The car ride is quite uncomfortable but is quickly over. "Alright guys, who's ready to party?!" She exclaims. We all just stare blankly at the poor girl. "Give me a break, it's my first party." Molly mumbles under her breath. Gage intertwines their hands together. "And you won't be leaving my side especially for that reason." He says. I grin at the couple as they walk off together.
A little while later I'm a bit tipsy. Almost drunk. It wasn't my first time drinking but it sure did feel like it. I felt bad though because I told Quinten I wouldn't, but look at me now. "Hey, Braelynn- wait have you been drinking?" Rowan asks me. I nod. "Just a little." I reply. He eyes me for a moment before nodding. "Okay. Well, if you haven't had a lot, then I guess it wouldn't hurt to have more, eh?" He says with a sly smirk. I laugh. "You bet!"
We drink for a little bit, but little did I know Rowan wasn't actually drinking. He is completely sober. Rowan tugs on my hand with his boyish grin. "Braelynn, I wanna go somewhere quieter. This music is making my head hurt!" He whines. How can I say no? "Okay!" I agree easily. He leads me upstairs and into a bedroom. It has a window that is cracked open slightly to get some fresh air in the room. It has a king sized bed in the corner and a desk on the other wall. There are a few more things I don't get to look at because Rowan leads me over to the bed. "Ah, much better." He says. I laugh at him. "Yup."
After chatting for a while, Rowan says something that catches me off guard, even in my drunken state. He brushes away a looses strand of hair from my face. "You're so beautiful, Braelynn." He murmurs softly. My lips part in surprise. He leans in closer to me. "So beautiful." He murmurs again, against my lips. Captivated by the moment, I lean in and connect our lips. Rowan kisses back roughly, much different than our other kisses.
I am pushed back onto the bed as our kiss becomes quicker, sloppier. Rowan leaves a trail of kisses along my jaw before reconnecting our lips hungrily. His hands are on my hips and I feel them trace the line of my jeans. Then, one of his hands makes its way up my shirt, and near my breast. I gasp as he reaches under my bra a bit. "Rowan, stop." I say. He ignores me. "Rowan..." I plead. "Shh, it's all okay. You won't feel a thing." My eyes widen. "Stop it!" This was a mistake.
I try to push him off of me but am too weak. I feel a tear trail down my cheek. He tries reconnecting out lips but I turn my head to the side. "No, stop!" I command. He takes his hand that was up my shirt and uses it to push my head forward again. "Shut up, bitch!" He growls. I cry even more. Rowan unbuttons my jeans and pulls the zipper down, just as the door is unlocked and thrown open. There stands Quinten, my literally night in shining armor. His eyes widen.
Rowan stops and sends a glare at Quinten and I. "Rowan, what are you doing? You've never gone this far!" He yells. I quickly fix my clothes and try to wipe my tears but it's no use. They just keep coming down, faster and faster. Quinten walks over to me and gently helps me up. He grabs my hands and we walk out together and into Xander's car. Somehow, Quinten has a spare key. Before we get in though, Quinten hugs me tightly. I lose it. My muffled sobs get louder as he strokes my head. Suddenly, Quinten tells me something.
"Rowan's a massive player, Brae. At his old school he would act like he liked a girl that also liked hi just so he could turn them down. He said he was gonna let you down tonight. So I punched him. I never knew he was gonna go that far." He whispers. More tears run down my face but my sobs get a bit quieter. "So I've been played. It was all a joke. He never meant any of it." I say, more so to myself. "I'm sorry, Braelynn. Love you lots?" I nod. "Love you lots." I say. We release each other and make eye contact for a moment before getting in the car and driving home. Or, to Quinten's house.
He opens the car door for me and we walk up to his front porch. I panic. "Wait, what about your parents and do I look okay I reek of alcohol-" he cuts me off. "You look okay. Here, let me fix your hair. He pulls a comb out of his pocket and quickly fixed my hair. I fixed my makeup in the car fortunately. "And lastly," he pulls out a bottle of body spray. "You don't smell, but it does help." Quinten says honestly. I nod. "Thanks." He opens the door and his mother calls out from the kitchen.
"Quinn, is that you? You're back early!" She says. "She knows I was at a party with friends." Quinten says. I nod. He leads me into his kitchen where his mom stands at the sinks, doing dishes. "Hey, ma." He says and plants a loving kiss on her forehead. "And who is this? Quinten, learn some manners and introduce the poor girl!" She hits him in the side of the head. I let out a small laugh. "This is Braelynn, my bestie for life," Quinten starts. A huge grin breaks out over my face at his words. "Brae, this is my mom, Diane." He says. I nod and am somehow not surprised when Diane pulls into a welcoming hug.
"Nice to me meet you, dear. It's quite the pleasure to see a fresh face." She says with a smile. I shake my head. "Oh, but the pleasure is all mine. You're too kind to me." I reply. "Why, thank you. Quinten, you should really take some lessons from her sometime." She suggests in a joking manner. He looks over at me. "Yeah, I know." Diane looks between the two of us before muttering under her breath something about 'young love'. Ha. Funny.
"Anyways dear, why are you back so early?" She asks. "Uh, some stuff happened at the party so I decided I'd take Braelynn here for the night to make sure she's okay." Quinten replies vaguely. I stare at the floor, taking interest in the boring tile. "Okay. Don't be too loud though, wouldn't want your sister to know too much about the teen life!" She says. Quinten chuckles. "Of course. Love ya!" He says to his mom. "Love you too!" Diane replies back with a smile. I envy their relationship.
