I ring on the doorbell of Quinten's home, knowing that his mom would still be up.
"Hey, Braelynn. What's up?" She asks. I give a small smile. "Quinten called me over." I reply. She nods and turns around, opening her mouth. "Quinn!" She calls. Quinten comes down the steps quickly and makes eye contact with me. "Ah, Braelynn. Hey." He says. I smile and wave. "Hey!" Quinten looks around a bit before speaking. "Let's uh, go up to my room I guess." I nod and follow him up the stairs. There is something wrong about him but I decide that I'd ask if he doesn't tell me soon.
He takes a seat on his bed, playing with his hands, view cast down at the floor. I sit down next to him. "So, what's up?" I ask. Might as well get right into it. Quinten takes a deep breath. "Okay so, this might not be easy to digest, or no, maybe you don't care. I'm not sure." I interrupt quickly. "I came over here so of course I care." I say softly. He nods. "Alright. Well, uh," Quinten gulps slowly. "I'm moving. To another state."

It was like the stars were being pulled from the sky.

"Huh?" I touch my face and feel that it's damp. "Oh my gosh! No, don't cry!" Quinten quickly stands up and runs to get a tissue. He gently pats my face with it once he is sitting on the bed again.
I wrap my arms around Quinten and place my head in the crook of his neck. He smells of... when you're outside, in the middle of spring, and the sun makes you feel warm. You're lying on the bright green grass, watching as the clouds float about. Then, a gentle breeze passes by, as if caressing the nature and everything around it. Yes, that is how I believe Quinten smells. His scent makes you feel calm, like a warm Spring day.
Quinten wraps his arms around me, and rubs my back slowly. One hand reaches up a bit to play with my hair. I close my eyes and relax myself. Before I know it, everything is black, and I am dreaming of a cool breeze on a warm spring day.
