Quinten led me upstairs and into his room. It was very clean. White walls and carpet. His bed has a grey comforter resting neatly ontop. His bed is in the top right corner, facing the side wall. There were a few other things, a desk, computer, books, dresser, things like that.
He walks over to his dresser and pulls out a pair of basketball shorts and a t-shirt. "Here. You can change into this since those jeans don't look too comfy." I nod and take the clothes. "Bathroom's over there." He tells me. "Thank you." I give him a smile and walk into the connected bathroom, closing the door behind me. I wash off my makeup and change into the clothes I was given.
Once out of the bathroom I notice Quinten has also changed. "Alright. You can sleep in my bed for the night. I'll sleep on the floor." He offers. "No! No, it's your bed, Quinten. I'll be okay if I sleep on the floor." I say. He laughs. "Are you sure you want to wake up in the floor with a headache tomorrow?" Damnit this guy. "No." I grumble. Quinten just gives me a huge grin. "I told ya so!" He exclaims. "Yeah, yeah. Whatever." I brush it off quickly.
A yawn escapes my lips and I immediately put my hand over my mouth to cover it. "Ah, I think we should get to sleep then." Quinten says and starts arranging blankets on the ground to make it more comfortable. I sigh. "Yup." I lay down on his bed and pull the covers over my body. Once he's done, Quinten turns out the light and lies down. "Goodnight, Quinten. Love you lots." I whisper in the dark. I can practically see the smile on his face. "Goodnight, Braelynn. Love you lots." He says back. And with that, I fall asleep.

The next morning I wake up with quite the headache. I also notice that Quinten is no longer in the room. I reluctantly climb out of the warm bed. I slowly make my way downstairs and see Quinten eating a bowl a cereal in the kitchen with a younger girl sitting next to him, doing the same. That must be his sister. "Hey." I say quietly as I rub my eye. "Hey, you're up. I got out some medicine over there." He says. I nod and walk over to the counter next to the sink and swallow the two tiny pills.
"This is my sister, Brianna. Brianna, this is by best friend, Braelynn." Quinten introduces. I smile and wave. "Hi." Brianna eyes me suspicially. "Why are you wearing my brother's clothes?" She asks. Well, I certainly wasn't expecting that one. Still, I reply without skipping a beat. "Because when I got here last night, I completely forgot to bring clothes to wear to bed! So, you're brother let me borrow something." I say. She nods and looks over at Quinten. "That was nice. You never let me borrow your clothes!" She pouts. I contain a laugh. "Bri, they don't fit you. They're even big on Braelynn." He says. She frowns again. "Okay."
Quinten looks at me. "Uh, there are bowls in that cabinet and cereal is in the pantry." "Thanks." I reply simply. After eating Quinten asks me a question. "Do you want to go swimming? We have a pool." He offers. "I don't have a bathing suit." I reply. "We can stop by your house and get one!" He exclaims excitedly after a minute. I sigh. "Okay."

"Quinten!" Braelynn shrieks in the air. I just chuckle and watch in amusement as she flies into the cold water. Her head bobs back up to the surface and she wipes away some of the water from her eyes. "That was so mean!" She whines. I jump in next to her, splashing her. When I get back above water I am immediately splashed in the face by Braelynn.
"Hey!" I exclaim. She grins. "You had it coming!" Braelynn defends. I chuckle. "Yeah, I guess I did." She nods. "Hey, you're okay, right?" I ask, referencing to last night. Her smile drops and she looks down. "I don't know." She answers. "I thought he actually liked me, ya know?" I nod. "I did too. He's never tried anything with any of our friends." I say, more so to myself. She laughs, humorlessly.
With a sigh, Braelynn swims over to me and wraps her arms around my neck, pulling me into a hug. She groans into my neck. "Quinten, what are we gonna do on Monday? I mean, isn't Rowan friends with you guys and-" She starts panicking but I cut her off. As if he's my friend at this point. Rowan really crossed a line. "Well, Rowan isn't exactly my friend anymore. What he did to you was too much. We'll just yell at him and not let him sit with us or something. I'm sure everyone will understand." A small smile forms on Braelynn's face.
"Ya know, you could've made that into a Mean Girls reference." She says. I roll my eyes and gently push her to the side. I decide to drop the subject. "Of course you would say that!" I laugh. Mean Girls is Braelynn's favorite movie of all time. "Well, duh!" She exclaims like it's obvious. Of course I threaten to throw her in the pool later on after we change to which Braelynn protests. She's literally the bestest friend ever though, so how could I?
