Chapter 3: Dares Are For Sissies!
Since Maria is one of my closest friends, I know the route to her house like the back of my hand.
I get there in about 10 minutes.
I leave my only mode of transportation - a bike - a block away from Maria's house, making sure to hide it well. No need to come back and find it destroyed as a "prank".
I walk back to Maria's house and quickly enter, unnoticed. Which is a feat in itself, given that there are guards checking every person entering the house.
It wasn't surprising, since Maria lived in the rich part of town.
I wonder why no one hascaught me yet.
Perhaps it was because I got in through the back door.
It takes more than a brick wall to stop me. (Let's just say, it involves a tree, and a lot of climbing.)
Even through all that, I manage to keep my hood on, keeping my face in the shadow.
I enter the living room and I cringe at the music blaring through the speakers. People really have bad taste these days.
Maria has a reputation in school: The Party Master, meaning, her parties are the perfect balance between crazy and classy. That means it's normal to find alcoholic drinks here and there, but at the same time, there's nothing that could cause any regrets.
A boy bumps into me, causing my shoulder to hit a vase, which falls and crashes.
I turn my glare on the offender, who sneers at me. "Sorry for bumping into you," he says, insincere clear in his tone.
You remember what I said about no regrets? Well, I take that back. He's so going to regret this.
Whipping out my trusty spray bottle, I spray him in the eyes, making him stumble backwards. "WHAT THE-"
I turn on my heel and weave through the crowd, careful to cover my tracks.
Another thing about Maria's parties: since her house is a freaking mansion, lots of people come to her parties. And I mean a lot.
How her parents never suspect anything is beyond me.
I quickly pull down my hood, and run a hand through "my" locks. Need to look natural.
"Do I know you?" A voice behind me makes me jump. I turn to see a dark eyed boy gazing at me with an amused look on his face.
"I don't think so," I say softly, trying to change the sound of my regular voice. And it's true. I don't think I've ever seen this boy before.
"Do you go to Crimson Glade Academy, by any chance?" He asks me.
I hesitate at his question, before nodding. I've never seen this kid before, so that must mean he wasn't a part of our school.
"That's cool." The boy gives me a (really adorable) grin. "What's your name, by the way?"
I shrug. There is no way I'm giving him my name.
"C'mon, please tell me," he practically whines. I quirk a brow at this before shaking my head.
As I suddenly catch sight of my sister walking upstairs, I remember what I'm supposed to do.
