Seven's POV
People in the hall give me odd looks because of my cat whiskers, hair, and outfit, but some people give me smiles and thumbs up.
Some older kid leads me to the cafeteria, pushes me in and literally says, "Good luck finding friends kid," before running off.
Uh, thanks?
Walking in I see people smiling and laughing in groups at tables. The lunch options aren't very appealing, so I decide to not get anything and just find somewhere to sit.
A 'scene' boy walking around with cat whiskers on their face is apparently very strange to this school, as many people turn and raise eyebrows. I just give them sheepish smiles before quickly walking away, trying to find an empty place to sit.
I look to my side and see the boy and girl from earlier watching me. The girl realizes she has my attention and smiles a friendly smile before waving me over. I make my way over to them and the girl points at a seat in between the two of them.
"Hi," I say shyly and bite my lip.
"I love your jacket and shirt." the boy says. I smile at him and tell him I like his Batman shirt.
He's the same height as me, with short, brown hair (looks kinda orange), styled in a fringe with really pale skin. "I'm Artemis." he says politely. I awkwardly shake his hand and the girl pokes my shoulder. I turn to her and she immediately starts introducing herself.
"I'm DC! I love your jacket and shoes. And your hair."
DC is taller than me, with long, dark blonde hair. She's tanner than Artemis with freckles and glasses. She's wearing a jacket and baggy jeans with purple tennis shoes. I shake her hand less awkwardly and give her a friendly smile.
"So, the cat whiskers-" Artemis begins.
"-come from within!" I blurt out, instantly covering my mouth. "Heh, sorry..kinda a big Dan and Phil nerd." I laugh.
Both of their faces light up. "Seriously? So are we! We love Dan and Phil, like, more than we probably should." Artemis says. "Which reminds me," DC starts, "who were those two guys you were with earlier?"
I open my mouth and give them a nervous smile. "Oh, uh, just my parents.."
"One of them sounded an awful lot like Dan." Artemis points out. My eyes widen. "It wasn't Dan! It was..uh..just my dad!"
The two give me a weird look before Artemis shrugs. "Okay then. Guess your dad just sounds a lot like Dan."
I nod at him instantly. "Yeah, I tell him that a lot."
For the rest of lunch we talk about likes and dislikes, how I was adopted two months ago, and they ask for my number since nobody else at the school is a Dan and Phil fan. Or as we say, Phan.
After school Phil texts me asking if I can walk home myself or if he needs one us to pick him up.
-no thanks Phil. There's actually two huge Dan and Phil nerds with me right now so...
Phillion: OH! Okay! Do you know the way back home?
-yep :P see ha in a bit
Phillion: ok be safe x
Phillion: BE SAFE MY SON-Dan
I laugh and put my phone back in my pocket. Artemis glances at me. "What's funny?"
"My parents." I reply and he just nods before halting randomly. He turns and looks at me. "Uh, Seven, where exactly do you live?"
DC watches for my answer too. "I live that way. Gee Way." I say and point the way I live. Artemis makes a face at my mention of the MCR singer.
"We live that way too!" DC chirps and leads us. We keep walking for about ten minutes, only speaking a few times, before she stops at a very familiar building.
"We live here. Artemis actually lives across from me." DC explains as we start going up the stairs. "You live here too?" Artemis asks, noticing I'm still with them.
Oh, crap.
They live in the hallway next to me, Dan and Phil.
Just, don't make it obvious, okay Seven?
"I live in the next hallway," I say before saying bye and quickly rushing to the front door. I knock on the door since I don't have my own key yet.
"Seven!" Dan and Phil yell and throw their arms around me. Loud enough for the other hallway to hear.
"That sounded like Dan and Phil!" I hear Artemis shriek. Dan's eyes widen and he pulls all of us in the moment DC and Artimis appear. I don't know if they see them, but they certainly see me and their eyes widen. I yank the door close and lock it.
"Was that Dan and Phil?" DC asks Artemis excitedly. "I don't know, wouldn't Seven tell us if he lived with them?" he replies.
I face-palm. Seriously.
"No he wouldn't!" DC hisses, and I hear their footsteps get quieter, signaling their back in their own hallway.
I climb up the stairs and throw myself on the couch.
"Were those friends of yours?" Phil asks from the kitchen.
"I don't know, I think so." I mumble back and pull out my phone to see I already have a text message.
Artemis: DUDE WAS THAT DAN AND PHIL
-uh no?
Artimis: YOUR 'PARENTS' LOOKED A LOT LIKE DAN AND PHIL
-I'm pretty sure they live on the other side of London
Artimis: IM QUESTIONING YOU TOMORROW AFTER I FREAK OUT
-but it wasn't Dan and Phil
Artimis: YOU COULD BE LYING TO ME
-IT WASNT DAN AND PHIL
Artimis: SURE SEEMED LIKE IT
-I WOULD TELL YOU
Artimis added DC to the chat.
DC: SEVEN THAT WAS TOTALLY DAN AND PHIL
-if I got pulled into Dan and Phil's flat I'd probably be freaking out
-which I'm not so
DC: we're watching you Seven
Artemis: *spongebob voice*
-well bye Dan made dinner
Artimis: SEE OMG DO YOU LIVE WITH DSN AND LHIL
DC: ONG HIE TOTALYNM LIEVA WITH DAN AND PHIL
-I was just joking XD but seriously my dad made dinner by
