10. Back to school

Chapter 10 : Back to school

Jorge's pov

After what happened, Diego got in prison, Lodo and Luke got sent to the hospital and Tini and I returned to our house. The first thing I saw was two faces, flashing with anger and glaring at me when I arrived home. There was no doubt that my parents were angry and worried about me when they heard about what happened.

They told me that I couldn't go out this month and I had a curfew – I know, lame – and the only time I could go out was with their premission. I guess that's what you call being grounded. And let me tell you, it sucks. And besides that, my school had started, and our short break was over which means a bunch of homework and exams.

I got out from my fathers car. It was the first time I saw him showing that he even remebered the fact that I was his son and that I went to school. I mean he rarely drove me to school and he never really showed that he cared about me. I had mixed feeling about this to be frank. But then I remembered that he probably did this because I got involved in some criminal case.

I waved my father goodbye and went inside the school. Just when I opened the door, a whole crowd came to me. Usually a crowd would always come to me when I enter my school, but the crowd was never this big.

I tried to go though the huge crowd but failed miserably. Then, I heard a familiar voice. I smiled at the sight as all the people in the crowd returned to their usual spots in the hallway.

"I thought that you were in hospital." I said as she laughed. "I got out. And besides I didn't want to skip school."

"Every other student in school, would love to skip school. Expect the nerds; like you." I said as I leaned in and planted a kiss on Lodo's cheek as she playfully punched me on the arm. That's when I realized how much I really missed her.

"Jorge..uh...we need to talk after class." She said and bit her underlip as I nodded. I knew what she wanted to talk about.

We walked to class together as the bell rang, remembering us that the break was over and that our math class would start soon and for the first time ever ; I didn't want math class to end.

"Jorge I don't think that we can be a couple anymore." Lodo said as I nodded slowly. Even though I liked her, I knew that she was right.

"We don't even act like a couple and we agrue too much. Our realtionship is too complicated. So I don't think that we can continue it." She said looking at the ground as I bit my underlip.

"So you're breaking up with me." I said as Lodo nodded, having her eyes on the floor.

"Oh, I still hope things will be cool. I don't want you to act awkward around me, because we're still friends right?" I said as Lodo nodded smiling at me.

"Let's go then, you don't wanna be late to your next period."

"Yes, you're right."

I waved her goodbye as I went to the opposite direction. I wasn't upset right now, acutally I was the opposite. I didn't want Lodo and me to be a together. Don't get me wrong, I love her but she was more like a best friend and sister for me.

"WHAT!" Me and Tini shouted, as Mr Presccott rolled his eyes at us.

"I said, you failed with your project." Mr Prescott said as Tini shook her head.

"But Mr Prescott, we gave you the project on time." She said as our teacher laughed at us.

"The Project was to get to know each other, not to write each other's favourite colors."

"We didn't only write our favourite colors." Tini said as Mr Prescott narrowed his eyebrows at us.

"Oh yeah. I mean you only wrote your favourite colours and your names at the end of the paper." Mr Prescott said as the whole class started laughing - including me.

"It's not my fault that this jerk refused to work with me." Tini said crossing her arms as I smirked.

"Well she refused to answer my question." I countered as Mr Prescott shook his head.

"You're acting as kids right now." He said shaking his head at us and continued. "I'll give you two, one more day. If you don't do the project and give it to me by tomorrow, both of you will fail in this subject." Mr Prescott shouted sternly as we both nodded in agreement.

When all our periods were over, which means that school is over ; I directly went to Tini's locker. I leaned on the locker beside her's until she saw me.

"Why are you here?" She asked me annoyed as I smirked at her.

"The Project." I said keeping my replies short, as she nodded. She then, closed her locker and faced me.

"Eh-Uh what about my place this time?" She asked as I shook my head.

"Nah. Come to my place at six." I said as she sighted. I was going to leave when Tini stopped me.

"I'll call you when I get there." she said as I raised one eyebrow. She obviously would, so why did she tell me that...

"Uhm.. The thing is I don't have your number."

"I thought  I gave you my number the day we met." I said still raising my eyebrow at her.

"I kind of deleted your number." She said rubbing the back of her neck.

"why?"

"Ugh..just give me your number." She said handing me her phone as I wrote my number In her phone. I handed her phone back and was going to leave again ; when she stopped me again.

"What?"

"Did you break up with Lodo?" She asked me as I nodded awkwardly.

"Why? you were cute together." She said smiling as I rubbed the back of my neck awkwardly.

"I like her more as my friend." I said as Tini nodded at me. I sighed in relief and turned around.

"Well see you at six." I said and left her there.
But what I couldn't understand was why she'd ask me that.

When Lodo and Jorge was together it gave me hope that maybe me and Luke could get back together. But now, I'm confused just like I was before. I don't know if I should give up or not.
I still liked him, I did. But I didn't know if he felt the same...
