Chapter 15: Second Chance

I don't hate you.
But I don't love you either.

I was searching for Luke, but couldn't find him anywhere.The guys and the police's was searching for him, but nobody could find him. It was like he just disappeared.

He escaped, leaving no traces, when he found out that me and jorge knew that he had some relationship with my father. I admit, I was scared and worried and my whole body was shaking, as one questions kept repeating in my head.
"What if he would kill everyone I care about?"

"Tini, I don't think that you're feeling good." Jorge said besides me as I cracked up a smile on my face.

"No. I'm fine, don't worry." I said as jorge raised his eyebrow in reply. "Tini, your hands is shaking." as he lifted up my right hand to show me. I immediately took my hand back, when I realized that he was right.

"Your mother will be fine. And they'll find your father, for sure. " Jorge said as I frowned. "My mother got stabbed 3 times and my father is somewhere in this city hiding,  and you're telling me to not worry?" I shouted at Jorge for the first time. I was angry and frustrated and I didn't even know what to do. Jorge on the other hand was still quiet and frozen in place

I shouldn't have shouted at him because I'm the one who had a miserable life, not him, I thought, as I whipped the tears I had left and walked besides him, towards my room.

Everyone told me that I should not worry.
But I knew my dad more than anyone in this world.
And the thing I learned most when I was with him, is.

He is capable of doing anything.

"He was trying help you." Lodo said as I shook my head.
"I know, I was just frustrated." I admitted as Lodo smirked at me.

"So, who's this Ivan again?"

"Ivan is my childhood best friend, he's like a brother for me and he's always been there for me from the start." I explained as Lodo shook her head.

"Since you never picked up your phone, I picked it up and this Ivan guy told me that he would be here any minute." My mouth widened as I smiled.

"But I'm at a hospital." I said as Lodo rolled her eyes.
"I told him the hospital you are in." Oh that explains.. I thought and was about to continue my conversation with Lodo as I heard a familiar voice behind me. I turned around and found no other than Ivan. I smiled and have him a bearhug, as he returned it ;; laughing as he ruffled my hair.

"Long time no see, little sis." He said as I gave him my best smile. I admit, I missed those words so freakin much and most importantly I missed him.

"How is it with Mrs Stoessel?" Ivan said as I looked down at the floor, as he immediately understood. He came closer to me and whispered "she'll be fine, don't worry T." As he started talking with Lodo."Uhm, you're Lodo right? The girl I talked with on the phone?" Ivan said smiling at her as she returned it with a smirk. "Yup."

"Uhm, can you excuse me and Tini for a bit? I've to tell her something important." Ivan said Lodo left us raising her eyebrows.

"I know that you hate Luke right no-" Ivan was about to finish his sentence when I cut him off by saying. "I don't hate him. Because hating on him, would mean that I care. Because hate is a feeling, and I'm 100% sure that don't feel anything for him. " I said as Ivan raised his eyebrows.

"Oh, but that's a good thing right? I mean you don't hate him anymore."

"I don't hate him, but I don't love him either."

"Oh." Was his only answer as I looked down on the floor.

"Ivan, can I ask you something?" I said as Ivan nodded as I gulped. "Did you come here to see me just to talk about Luke?" I asked him as he shook his head.

"No! I wanted to meet you, to see how you're feeling, see how your mother is doing...and..I kind of need to tell you something." Ivan said as I looked at him with curiosity.

"I've known Luke the longest since we used to be best friends. And I could already tell from the start that he was deep in love with you. From how he looked at you to everything he did, just for you. I never saw that side of Luke when we was with you. He was so happy and he really didn't want to let you go. All he wanted was to protect you, but you didn't seem to understand. And when he moved to this city, he wanted to become more close to you, but he said that your eyes was only on one boy ;; Jorge Blanco. You somehow seemed more happy with Jorge than you did with him. So Luke became jealous and wanted to make you hate Jorge and me, since what happened between us." Ivan said pausing as I gulped.

"What? That doesn't even make sense! I hated Jorge from the beginning!"

"You said yourself that hate is a feeling..."

"Just shut up and continue." I said as Ivan nodded continuing.

"So he somehow got contact with your father and wanted him to come to this city. He never thought of what your father was capable of, and just when he thought everything was going as planned, your mother got in hospital and you got to know the truth."

"Tini, you know how Luke is. He makes so many mistakes but he always learns from them. He tries to be a better person, just for you. But you just blow him off everytime."

"Please T, I'm begging you. Even if I hate Luke as much as you do, I can't see him live like this. Please, just give him another chance, or just accept him as your friend." Ivan finished as I suddenly started tearing up.

I suddenly remembered how much he's been through when he was younger and the huge fight between the best friends.
And even if I hated to admit this, Ivan was right.

I would never forgive Luke for what he did to my mother but at least I had to accept him.
