I found myself frozen in place. What if something bad happened to him? Was the only thing I had in my mind. was standing right outside the detention room, thinking about if I should go in or not. What would I do?
I was thinking of ways, when someone tapped my shoulder. "You okay?" The voice asked me, which made me turn around to face no other than A worried Jorge.
"I-I just got a c-call from the hospital. Something happened to Father." I told Jorge worried a bit, which only made Jorge even more worried.
"Let's go." Said Jorge as he took my hand is his leading me to the school's parking lot.
"What about detention?" I asked him as he returned with a shrug. Continuing walking.
"You and your father is more important than a detention. Plus, Mr Prescott would give us a detention tomorrow too, and since he already gave us one today that were 3 hours long, which is the max number of hours. So if we get a detention tomorrow too, it won't much, since he would give us 3 hours-detention as well." Jorge said like he was pointing out the obvious, as I nodded getting in his car, as he drove of to the hospital.****
"What do you mean by that?" I asked shocked as mother started crying, clearly getting what this doctor said.
All the doctors that were in charge in the surgery was standing in the room, all of them having their eyes glued on the floor, expect one woman, who was smiling.
"Tini your father is dead." The doctor blurted out honestly, before he covered his hands over his mouth. After a while he gave me a sympathetic smile as I went deep in my own thoughts. The words repeated in my head as my knees went weak. Although father did terrible things, he was still my father, my
psychopathic father. The only one who called me by my younger nickname 'Tinita'. But still, he was my father, the one I love.Just then that woman came in my sight again, but this time she was smirking at me. Which made me ask the doctor in front of me. "Who was the doctor in charge for the surgery my father went on?" The doctor let out a big breath, before he answered my question.
"It was Mrs Sanchez." He said pointing to the woman who smirked at me earlier. My temper suddenly raised as my face went red in seconds, of how angry I was. Anger was boiling inside me as I rook two steps closer to the woman the doctor pointed at. Just seeing her face made me wanna puke.
"You!" I shouted letting all my anger out, as Jorge wrapped his arms around my wrist, making me crash into his hard toned chest.
"Tini, calm down." He whispered sending shivers thought my body.
I liked having him close. I felt save there. I never wanted hin to let me go. I wanted us to stay like this forever. But even thought I liked having him close, that woman deserved to die.
To die like my father did.All the doctors looked at me shocked by how I reacted, clearly not knowing why I hated her that much. Everyone was shocked expect my mother who gave Mrs Sanchez a death glare as well, before all the other doctors lead my mother into another room, making me and Jorge the only one's in the room.
"You shouldn't have stopped me. That woman deserves to die." I said angrily as Jorge made me turn around, making me face him.
"Why do you hate her so much? I know that she was in charge of the surgery, but doctors are humans too. And humans make mistakes." He told me calmly, almost as a whisper, as tears started streaming down.
"Don't you know who she is?" I asked Jorge as he shook his head, making me continue, as he whipped my tears away.
"That woman, is Gabrielle's mother."
****
Gabrielle's mother always had something against me, even when me and Gabrielle was best friends.
She also had something against my mother for some odd reason. But I don't know why she hated my whole family. And even if she was angry or mad at me for no-reason, she should've done something towards me.
But no, she played dirty, like Gabrielle did.
This made me hate Gabrielle's family even more."I don't know what to say." It was Jorge that blurted out. We was currently in Jorge's car and he was driving me home.
"You don't have to. She is your friend's mother after all." I said as, I myself, sensed a hint of jealousy in my voice. But I didn't care and yes I was jealous. The real question is: why am I not jealous?
She had the looks. The perfect family. She had many friends and she was loved by everyone. She had good grades even if you wouldn't see her as the A student. She was rich and every boy in school was head over heels for her. While I was the opposite of her."Tini?" Jorge asked after a while as I turned my head at his direction.
"Yeah?" It was a mix of jealousy and bitterness in my voice."We need to talk." He said giving me a quick glance. "What do you wanna talk about?" I asked annoyed. He just changed the subject, like father meant nothing.
"The kiss." He said awkwardly before adding "and Gabrielle."
"You already told me that the kiss meant nothing, remember?" I asked him ad he shook his head.
"No, you said that. I didn't say anything because you cut me off every time I tried to say something." He said kind of annoyed. As I started at him with a blank expression."Gee, why do you have to be so clueless? You're making things hard for me." He said as I gave him the blank expression I had before.
"Uhmm?" Was the only thing I managed to say.
"The thing is; the kiss meant something for me. And all the dates meant something for me too." Jorge said as I finally understood what he was talking about.Did he just say that he like me?
"Yes, I did." Jorge said giving me a small smile, as I covered my hands over my mouth. I started blushing, hoping he didn't see it.
Did Jorge Jerkface Blanco, just confess that he like me?
