I could hear his voice yelling from behind. But it wasn't mad yelling, it was concerned yelling. Did he care about me?
I looked back but he was already sitting on the bench.
"Come on Peter, it's time to go home," mother said as she left the park with the others. I started to follow, but then took a moment to look back at Mr. Barrie. He almost looked sad. Sad because of me.
"Maybe tomorrow," I said. I knew he couldn't hear me, and that I was just talking to myself, but it was worth a shot.
