First of all, sorry for the HUGE DELAY. I won't do that again. (I hope)

Second, this isn't my best chapter. I was working on this late past my bedtime on a school night. But I just had to deliver. I already took long enough. Forgive me? :)

Recap:

“Anyway, it’s getting late,” he broke the silence. “I better go.”

I nodded and led the way to the door opening it for him. “Will I see you tomorrow?”

“First thing in the morning” He replied with a smile. His footsteps now became distant as he walked back to his place. I shut the door behind him and lay my back against it with a smile on my face.

“We should get back now. I’m pretty sure my parents will wake up in a while.” I tried saying in between my laughs.

“It’s five in the morning, Jess! Why in the world would they wake up at five?” He answered back pulling the blanket away from me.

The beautiful thing about Crilley falls is that it was full of nature. Green mountains surrounded us from three directions: East, south, and west. Between the south and west mountains lay a majestic waterfall, the waterfall on which our town was named after.

Brad came over at my place at around four-fifteen in the morning throwing pebbles at my window. When I got to my window to see who it was, I spotted Brad looking up at me with a piece of paper in his hands. I read the paper carefully with my tired sleepy eyes and found the words ‘Get dressed’ written in black bold letters. I smiled, turned around, quickly threw on a pair of jeans and put on a hoodie before I left the house.

Brad’s dirty-ish blond hair looked golden under the moonlight. He was already dressed in blue worn out jeans and a striped long sleeved black and grey sweater. I walked over to him while rubbing my arms trying to warm up myself with friction. “It’s four in the morning!”

“Technically it’s four-twenty in the morning. Plus, if we keep talking we’re going to miss it.” He grabbed my hand and pulled me towards his car.

Once my house was out of sight I turned to Brad who was enjoying the mellow music coming out of the radio.

“Where are you taking me?”

“Why do you want me to ruin the surprise?”

He had a point. Why did I want to know beforehand? It wasn’t like he was kidnapping me. A few minutes passed when I noticed that the drive took a long time, longer than I expected. I also noticed that the scenery around me changed. I could see trees and bushes all around me passing by in rapid speed.

“Brad?”

“Trust me on this.” He replied confidently concentrating on the road. Ten minutes later, he killed the engine on a flat surface next to a couple of bushes.

I looked straight ahead and anticipated this ‘surprise’ he was talking about. We were on high ground so I guessed we were on a mountain. I got out of Brad’s car and ran close to the edge. “Whoa,” It was beautiful. I could see the whole of Crilley Falls City and its shimmering lights underneath me.

“Sunrise is in forty-five minutes.” He whispered from behind me before walking back to his car.

I breathed in the fresh cold air and sat on the ground admiring the view. “How did you find this place?”
