Immediately after school, I rushed home just two hours before the wedding. I was so excited and thrilled for Ronald and Lilly’s big day, I mean they were finally getting married!

Ten minutes later, I was standing in front of my dresser finishing the final touches of my make-up before doing my hair. I’ve put on a light brush of powder on my cheeks, brown eye liner on my upper lid, mascara, and finally, lip gloss. I made sure my make up was light and simple. I didn’t want to look like I was trying too hard.

I let my hair down, wavy and lose, but held a couple of locks up with a floral band. It tied my whole image to the wedding’s garden theme. I looked neat, too neat, so I let a few strands of hair fall just on the side of my eyes.

Done with my face, now off to the rest, I reached for the dress on my bed that Brad and I picked and slipped it on along with my white heels. I examined myself in the mirror and decided I looked elegant enough so I left my room and headed downstairs where my family waited.

We were going there in two groups. My mom, Brad, and I were going with Bradley’s parents who arrived early this morning. Lilly and Ronald’s parents were going with my dad in his car.

Downstairs, everyone was already dressed up. The males wearing black and grey suits, and the females wore peach and beige gowns. My eyes wondered around looking for Bradley, I wanted to see him so desperately, but I wasn’t sure exactly why.

I stepped into our living room and found him sitting on the longest sofa, tapping his right foot impatiently. I slightly coughed to get his attention. It was successful enough because at the sight of me, he stood up instantly while his eyes roamed my body in a respectful way.

I could see that he was speechless so I walked my way over to him. He cleaned up really well. He pulled his hair back with gel, and a strand of his hair rested on his forehead making him look irresistible. I just stood a few inches apart and his cologne managed to find me and drive me wild. I sucked it all in. “You look very handsome.” I teasingly mentioned, although every bit of it was true.

“And you look very beautiful, sweetheart.” He playfully replied with a wink.

I giggled at his comment when my dad came in.

“Okay, time for us to go. Remember your groups. Harold” My dad called out to Mr. Salas who was standing next to the window chatting with Ronald’s father. “I’ll be leading the way to the wedding ceremony, so stay close.”

We all headed to the door and got into the cars.

When we reached the wedding place, most of the guests have already arrived. We then joined in with the rest of them.

It was an outside garden style wedding, with various flower bouquets and vases placed behind each other in rows next to the white guest chairs, a fountain located just behind the pedestal, and a live orchestra band next to it waiting for the wedding to begin.

We talked with a few guests before we were all called to sit down as the wedding was about to start. Ronald was at the pedestal, looking as dashing as ever in his black tuxedo as he waited for his bride. The music began playing and the guests remained silent. Moments later Lilly appeared with her father. They both walked down together with the beat of the music. It was so beautiful to watch. My eyes shifted from Lilly to Ronald, back and forth. They looked so happy. I wondered if I would ever find that right person for me, someone who will make me as happy as they were, and someone who will love and hold me for the rest of my life.

We all watched silently as they exchanged their vows.

“Ronald, take this ring as a seal upon the marriage vows I have spoken, and as you wear it, may it be a reminder of how much I love you, not only on this precious day, but every single day of your life.” Lilly softly spoke encircling his finger with his wedding ring.
