RECAP:
I extended out my hand. “Welcome to the team, name’s Bradley Salas. This over here is my best friend, Jonathan Knight.” I introduced us as I welcomed him.
He shook my hand and introduced himself. “Damon Rider at your service”

‘Riiiiing’ The sound of the lunch bell rang through the school.
I put my tray down on the table and took a seat. “Morning guys” I greeted both Eric and Jared. I was so hungry I took a bite from my ham sandwich aggressively when Skye burst out screaming out of nowhere, putting her weight on my back as she did so. “Guess who’s in town for a concert?” she sang with a high voice.
I felt the food in my mouth get stuck in my throat. My eyes widened as I began coughing up the food in my mouth.
Eric sniggered and handed me a bottle of water. “Here you go Jessabel.” He offered.
I took the bottle and gulped in the water. As soon as I was able to breathe again I glared at her. “Who is it that they’re so important you’d let your friend choke her fo-”
She squealed and jumped a couple of times. “It’s Pitbull! Aaah! I need to get tickets! I just need to!” She screamed as she jumped excitedly a couple of more times.
Now I see why she’s so thrilled, and I can’t blame her for it. “Pitbull? Now way, you’re kidding right? I can’t believe he’s actually here in Crilley!” I squealed and shared the same excitement she did. We’ve had a crush on Pitbull for as long as I can remember, yes I know he’s not that dashing and charming, but still, the heart chooses who the heart chooses. “When does his concert start?” I quickly asked.
“Saturday night, which means we have to get tickets now!” she replied with high spirits.
“Once school finishes, we go straight home and buy them off the internet.” I quickly responded.
I looked at Jared who seemed awfully quiet. He kept looking at his food, keeping his head down. He didn’t even bother to say hi.
I lightly put a hand on his back, concerned. “Jared, is everything okay?”
I then noticed Skye and Eric leave us alone. “Hey, where are you guys going?” I asked loudly before they left. They just kept walking, ignoring my question.
I turned to Jared. “What was all that about?”
“Jessa-” He started to say when he was suddenly pulled away.
Brad was pulling him by the back of his collar. “Do me a favor and get lost.” He ordered rudely with an evil smile on his face.
I grabbed Jared’s hand and pulled him down. “No, you sit back down. Brad-” I pointed a finger at him. “-let him go and sit here.” I gestured to the seat opposite of me. He seriously came at worst of times, and to add to it, he gets me all frustrated and mad.
He smirked at me but obeyed my wishes anyway. He let go of his shirt and walked around the table to sit across me, but his eyes were glaring at Jared, as if they were hissing at him to get away.
I ignored Bradley, faced Jared, and raised a hand to his chin and forced his face to turn to me. He easily turned to face me since I caught him off guard. I didn’t like what I saw, his upper lip and the skin around it were bruised, a dark shade of red colored his skin. His eyes were showing all signs of worry.
