The stick

Clary's POV

I stare at the stick, I think it is the 100th time in the past 2 minutes I looked at the stick that could change my life, these 2 torturing minutes were very slow. I look at my phone and I sigh as the timer is about to go off. I take a step back from the basin to control myself and try to control myself for what is about to happen.

As I look at the stick in my hand I see the engagement ring. I couldn't help but smile. Jace finally popped the question and now we were both extremely excited. Although Izzy was the most excited. We were going to have the wedding in a garden to remind us of the greenhouse. It's so special because that's where Jace and I first kissed (might be wrong about that) and Jace proposed to me there. The timer went off. Wow time really is going slow. I take a very deep breathe with my nerves all over the place. I look in the mirror before looking down at my future.

Positive: I am going to be a Mom! My feelings are all over the place. I am happy because I get to have a baby with Jace and I wouldn't have a baby with anyone else. But I'm sad because we are young to have a baby. I mean we are both 21. Although our journey is a lot more then a mundane could take in a lifetime. Also at least I know who the dad is. My amazing fiancé. We are getting married in a few months and I'm gonna say that I am very happy but, I am very happy but what would Jace say? Would he leave me? What about my mom?! She doesn't even know we are engaged what is she going to do when she finds out about this?

I start to pace but I give myself a pep talk. "Chill Clary we can deal with mom later now we need to worry about Jace. Well first you need to ask him. I should tell Izzy first." I go to my phone and pick it up and start crying. I don't know if they are happy or sad tears.

I wait for her to pick up the phone which takes an eternity. By the angel Izzy and Simon better not be doing that. Then someone picks up.

"Hey." A groggy Simon says through the phone. The one time my parabatai picks up the phone.

"Give the phone to Izzy." I say fighting back my tears.

"What? No hello how's life or how's your shadowhunter training to your BFF." He says with humor in his voice.

"Hey! Simon give me my phone!" I can hear Izzy yell in the background. Knowing my "BFF" he says no. Then I heard some wrestling and moans. By the angel I don't need to hear this. Then Izzy got her phone. "Hey Clary, what's up?" Just then I let out a small sob. "What's wrong?" She asks.

"You need to come over here ASAP." I beg.

"I'm already out the door don't worry." Izzy says and I nod. Now I wait here for Izzy. Then I hear the front door open, here goes nothing. So I walk out of the bathroom.
