*unknown caller*

I pushed decline for the 2nd time in 2 minutes. , and I had yet to clean the room. I started with picking up our clothes and putting them in a laundry bag to take to the laundromat later, since I hadn't washed my clothes yet either.

3 bags later, the room already looked so much better. I started picking up trash next, we weren't really the type of guys to keep pointless shit like receipts or anything, so there was only a few empty beer cans and wadded up pieces of paper. I looked around our room, happy with my work, and then laid down on my bed, exhausted from all the hard work.

My phone dinged and I jumped up to get it, expecting it to be PJ saying he was home. Instead, it was a text from the same unknown number:

314-569-****: "Phil, I want to see you, can you meet me at the café?"

I hated the feeling in my gut, it was telling me exactly who this number belonged to.

To 314-569-****: "No, I'm busy. How did you get my number?"

314-569-****: "Come to the café and i'll tell you. I really need to talk to you."

I set my phone down and got back in bed. I don't care what that asshole wants. I hardly know him, and all the time's we've talked, he's been a complete dick to me. So no, I am not going to the café. I am going to wait in my dorm room for my best friend to come back from his small vacation.

"Honey I'm home!" I heard PJ say whilst unlocking the door. I bolted up from my nap and basically tackled him in a hug when he walked through the door. "Jeez Phil, I'm happy to see you, too." He giggled, hugging me warmly.

"I'm going with you next time, I promise." I said taking his bag from him and putting it at the foot of his bed.

"Pinky?" He held out his pinky finger, and I did the same, wrapping mine around his.

"Pinky."

"Why do we act like children? Oh my god."

"Because we are children, peej." i answered picking up all three laundry bags. "now that you're home, you can help me wash all our clothes."

"You piece of shit. You told me that was the reason you stayed here!"

"I lied." i shrugged my shoulders and grabbed my keys off the hook. "Are you coming with me?"

"Obviously." he said, grabbing my jacket. "but I'm still mad at you. And put this on, it's colder than your heart out there!"

"That was a good one, thanks." he took two of the bags from me and reached in the bathroom for the detergent. "You ready?" I  asked mockingly, opening the door.

"Shut up and get in the car."
