I hastily threw on my new uniform. Smoothing out the wrinkles, I stood in front of the mirror, studying my appearance. I smiled as my eyes trailed down my body. The new uniform was a gold-like color and perfectly hugged my body, showing my curves. Usually, I'm very self conscious about how I look. I'm not as skinny as a lot of other girls, I don't have a thigh gap, and not all clothes flatter me. But, this uniform, made me feel confident and beautiful, which I rarely think of myself.

Snapping out of my thoughts, I quickly zipped up my knee high boots and exited my dorm room, revealing a huge herd of cadets hurrying towards the boarding stations. I happily followed, my heart racing. I was so excited, I felt like a kid running after an ice cream truck. Before I could even drool over the thought of the adventures I was about to embark on, I bumped into someone. Well, let's be honest, bumped is an understatement.

I straightened myself out and looked to my fellow cadets, trying to find a reason why we suddenly stopped. I followed their gazes to unveil a ginormous room filled with hundreds of starships and workers rushing to and fro, walking with a purpose. I gave a big, toothy smile. This did not just make my excitement grow, it made it explode. I even had the urge to do a backflip. I quickly made my way through the mass of awestruck cadets and towards the U.S.S. Enterprise.

As I approached the ship, I saw a group of cadets being assigned to their designated vehicles. Coincidentally, Kirk and Bones were in that very group. The officer reading off the names clapped his hands and everyone split in different directions, however Kirk and Bones walked towards the officer. And, as did I.

"James T. Kirk, you are on academic probation. That means you're grounded until The Academy Board rules." The officer stated. Jim sighed along with McCoy.

I interrupted their conversation, trying to help Kirk in any way I could. I was now the head Tactical Officer, I bet I had some privileges. "Excuse me officer, is there any way we could make an exception just for this situation?" I asked as the officer saluted. Jim and Bones just stared straight at me.

"No m'am. I'm sorry, but there is nothing that I or you could do at this time." I nodded and gave him a slight smile.

"At ease." He relaxed and my attention turned towards the two child-like men standing next to me. "Sorry pretty boy, I guess your stuck here." My eyes softened. "I'm sorry I couldn't do anything about it." He gave me a small smile, and with that, I left, walking towards the U.S.S. Enterprise. I boarded the ship, trying to block out the guilt I felt for leaving Kirk behind.

"He's a narcissistic asshole." I muttered under my breath, trying to make me feel better. "You shouldn't feel bad, he has done this to himself.

Entering the bridge was the best moment I had ever had. It all felt like a dream, well, without the distress call from Vulcan. My eyes gazed across the room, studying each and every person and dashboard. I took a deep breath and made my way to the weaponry and defense station. My station.

There sat two men. An asian man to the left, probably the person in charge of steering the Enterprise, and to the right, a young Russian man, probably in charge of navigation. And in the middle of the two was a barren seat, waiting to be occupied.

I sat down and laid my eyes on the dashboard. It looked just liked the replica I had to use during the weapons and defense test. Finally, something familiar.

"Hi." A heavy Russian accent pulled me out of my thoughts. I looked to my right to the man who kinda looked like a teenager. "I'm Pavel. Pavel Chekov." He shot his hand out towards me. I smiled and gladly shook it.
