Kendall's POV
It was awkward. Mica was standing quietly behind me and my mom was standing in front of me glaring at the both of us.
"What did you just say?" She asked.
"We've been back together for two years." I said. I gulped.
"But Kathy isn't one yet." Mom said.
"I know." I said, feeling ashamed.
"All of the times Nicole came to me with suspicious of you cheating I told her it was nothing, but I was the one wrong." Mom said.
"Wait... She knew?" I asked.
"She told me she had her suspicion. You sneaking in and out. Secret phone calls. You buying flowers she never got. Card charges to hotels Nicole wasn't going to." Mom said. "When did this happen?" Mom asked, gesturing to Mica and I.
"Two years ago." I admitted. "We ran into each other while I was vacationing with Dustin and it just started."
"So she became your mistress?" Mom said, sending Mica a death glare.
"M-Mrs. S-Schmidt I l-love your son." Mica said, stepping out from behind me.
"You came between a husband and wife, but most importantly you came between a man a d his children." Mom said. "How do you live with yourself? You tore a family apart."
"Mom! Don't speak to her like that!" I snapped. She looked at me.
"I hope you're happy with the choice you made Kendall. There is no going back from this." Mom said. And with that she was gone, leaving Mica and I alone with her words.
