Kendall wrote to me everyday. They were dated from a week after he was taken to two days before he came back. He wrote me every time he missed me. He wrote me every time they did something, telling me how sorry he was. Technically he was cheating and he left like it was breaking his heart every time he did it.
It took me a week to every letter. I read them out loud to a comatose Kendall. Every letter made me love Kendall more then I have.
"Hey Nikki." Alice said as she walked into the room. I watched as she checked Kendall's vitals. "Did you hear the good news?"
"What good news?" I asked.
"Well while you went to lunch yesterday the doctor ordered another MRI on Kendall." she said. My eyes opened wide. Why wasn't I informed of this?
"And how is this good news? Why wasn't I informed about this MRI on my husband?" I asked.
"I'm not sure to this second question, but he did tell me he believes Kendall will wake up soon." Alice said.
"WHAT?!" I shouted. "Just last week he was telling me I should think about pulling his plug."
"Well something changed his mind." Alice said.
"Thank you Alice." I said. I looked at Kendall for a moment. "I'll be back anything happens-"
"I'll come find you." Alice said. I kissed his forehead before leaving the room in search of his doctor who has some explaining to do.
