Maya's pov
My social worker bill told me they found me a home they could place me in but it's in San Diego which mean I had to leave my friends behind and New York since my mom and her loser boyfriend were taking away for abuse I was kind of relieved to be out of that home but hated that were I was staying was so far away from the school I really loved and my best friend Riley Matthews that I knew since I was five we had a really close friendship that I have to leave behind i was starting to get really nervous about the family I was going to be placed with what if it's not safe what if they are abusive bill assured me that they weren't like that and they were love able parents but I didn't believe him I don't trust anyone I can't trust anyone How can you when the family who brought you into this world who were suppose to love you but didn't I mean your mom told you everyday that you were a mistake and worthless and that she regrets having such a disappointment of a daughter and your father just abandoned you for a new family why didn't they love me as I struggled to hold back tears the only reason I've been strong all these years was because I had Riley by my side and now I had to leave her behind

Meanwhile at the fosters house........

Lenas pov
Stef and I were so happy to welcome a girl named maya hart into our family we felt really bad and sad for the girl after being informed by Bill about the girls recent situation my heart broke for the girl Stef and I just called the kids into the living room for a family meeting to tell the kids hoping they would be okay with it and be accepting towards the girl

"What's going on" Brandon asks

"What's this about" Jesus said adding on to Brandon's statement

"Well mamma and I will like to discuss something with you how would you feel if we take in another kid" Stef asked in a loving tone

"She had a pretty rough life and we just want to give her the love and support she needs" I said adding on to what my wife was saying

"What was her life like" Callie asked sadly wondering how bad it was

"Well what we know is her father is out of the picture and that her mom and her boyfriend abused her and that she has no where to stay" I said feeling sad for the girl we are going to foster

"That's horrible what's her name" Mariana asked compassionate for the girls current situation as she though about her past foster homes

"Her name is maya hart" Stef said filling them in

"Where she from" Jude asked eyes full of wonder but also filled with pity for the girl

"New York" Stef and I said filling the kids in with information

"How old is she" Brandon ask

"She's fourteen" I said answering Brandon's question

"So we just want to know how you would feel about it" we both said in a loving voice hoping that they would say yes

"Yes" they all answered at the same time on board with the plan to have the girl apart of family

"You sure" Stef asked making sure

"Yeah there's enough love to go around" Brandon said with a huge smile as the rest of the kids smiled at them

We smiled at them with such compassion

"But one question where will she be sleeping" Mariana wondered since their was no more room

"She'll be staying on the couch for now until we get another bed will be turning you and Marianas bed into a bunk bed" Stef said filling them on in the arrangement

"Sounds great" Callie and Mariana said with such excitement

Stef and I smiled at them so happy that they had all their support

"So when she gets here I want you all to be very nice and welcoming nod your head so I know you understand" Stef said as the kids nod their heads as they stated they understood

"Good" we both said with a smile as they waiting anxiously for maya to arrive

Maya's pov
As bill and I reached our destination San Diego bill and I got out so I could meet my new family so I could see where I would be staying I was so scared of meeting them I just wanted to run away but I know I couldn't since Bill just rang the door bell as a colored skin lady and a white women greeted me "they're gay" I thought in my head not that I was against it I was just surprised

"Hey maya I'm Stef and this my wife Lena" Stef said in such a soft and loving voice

"It's so nice to meet you come in we would like you to meet your siblings" Lena said in such a loving voice as Bill ushered me inside

"That's Brandon stefs biological son Callie Jude and the twins Jesus and Mariana" Lena said introducing me

"Nice to meet you" I said in such a soft and scared voice"

We would like to show you around show you were you will staying" Stef said in such a soft loving voice trying to show the girl they could trust them but she just backed up

"It's ok sweetheart your safe here I promise you" Lena said in a calm loving voice trying to calm the girl down

"Can I just call it a day it was a long ride here and I'm exhausted" I said growing agitated to avoid getting to know them and spend time with them if I let them in all get hurt in the end no one wants me and you don't know how long they want me or how long they will get sick of you because of how worthless I am I said stuck in my thoughts

Stef and Lena decided to call it a night since the girl been through a lot and decided to try to talk to her tomorrow

"Ok Sweetie you'll be sleeping on the couch for tonight until we get you a bed goodnight sweetheart will see you tomorrow" Stef and Lena said as everyone else followed them up the stairs to give the girl some space

As they left I headed for the couch I couldn't help the tears fall from my eyes as I thought about the question in my head how long will they want you until they get sick of your worthless ass and then I thought about both of my parents my father who love his other family more than me and my mom who didn't care for my existence as more tears start falling at the thought of the memory then I thought about New York and Riley my best friend who was there for me when I was at my worse my ride and die and now not even Riley could save me as I cried myself to sleep this is a nightmare I said repeatedly in my sleep
