Chapter 3: Rescued

Adam zoomed down the road and took a right. Houses were just blurs as he sped down the road. He saw some sickos piling up in a cul-de-sac. The screams were coming from there. He pulled out his pistol and started firing into the group. A couple of them fell but most kept going into the cul-de-sac. He then heard the roar of a desert eagle being fired. He looked past the sickos and saw her. He saw his crush from high school, Gen. She was standing on top of a large truck and was shooting into the crowd. Adam got off the ATV and helped finish of the rest of the sickos. She watched as he did this, kinda in awe. He stopped when all of them had been taken care of. He looked up at her and smiled widely. She got down and walked over to him.
"Who are you " she asked
"I'm Adam "
Three more sickos came into the cul-de-sac. Suddenly the truck came out of nowhere and ran them over.
"Let's go Adam " yelled Jakob
"Come on" said Adam and headed for the ATV. She followed and got on behind him. The truck pulled out.
"Follow me, I know a place we can stay" said Jakob then drove off with Adam following. The area that had once been their town was now in ruin. Cars were wrecked everywhere and buildings were damaged. Jakob pulled up in the parking lot of the bank. He got out and opened the doors into the bank. Ev and Bob followed and then Adam and Gen showed up. They checked the inside for any sickos, there were none.
"Alright let's bring the supplies in" said Bob
Jakob, Ev and Bob went out and grabbed the supplies then brought them in. Adam and Gen had been making googly eyes at each other the entire time.
"How about we do that when we aren't in a life or death situation " said Ev
Adam sighed.
Ev started moving a table over to the door to barricade it. Adam did the same but was trying to show up Ev and Bob. Ev was annoyed and noticed that Gen was loving it, so he decided to screw with Adam. He went over to a desk and kicked it so hard it slid over to the door barricade.
"Hm" said Ev
Adam picked up a desk and threw it over.
"Hm hm" said Adam
Ev then grabbed two more desks and pushed to the door with one push.
"Hm hm hm"
Bob watched the two as they did this for about an hour.
Jakob came back from the back part of the vaults.
"Alright there is two beds in the main vault, one on top of the tables and two more under the desks" said Jakob
"Dibs on the table one " said Ev
"Me and Gen will take the main vault ones" said Adam and then made a face at Gen, she giggled.
"Me and Bob will take the other two then" said Jakob
Everyone ate some food before going to bed. Ev stared at the ceiling, unable to sleep. He thought he was the only one awake but then heard noises coming from the main vault. When Ev realized what they were doing in there he almosted vomited.
"What the hell Adam " he whispered to himself
There was no chance of him getting any sleep tonight with all of the moaning echoing down the hall. He took his pillow and put it over his face.
"Go to sleep, go to sleep, go to...sleep, go...to...sleep, go...to..., go..." repeated Ev until he fell asleep.
