I pulled up in front of the tattoo parlour and turned off my car. I looked down at my phone as i walked towards the door in front of the building. It was 5 am, and sort of cold, sort of hot. It was just right, in my opinion.

As I walked in and turned on the lights , I set my keys down on the counter and clocked in. I walked to the back room for employees only and connected my phone to the speakers out in the store. I played my work playlist on Spotify and walked back to the front of the store.

It was kind of warm in here, so I decided to take off my jacket. I then sat down on the chair at the front desk and kicked my feet up.

I quietly whistled to the music, pretty bored. Did I have work to do? Yep. Was I going to do it? Not right now. I always came in earlier , wanting to seem like I worked harder than everyone else when in reality I was probably more laid back than any of my fellow co-workers.

Needing a quick smoke, I stood up and searched my pants pockets. Not in there, I checked my jacket. Not having it in there either, I knew I had left them out in the car.I grabbed my keys and went to get my phone out of the back room, then shuffled out of the front door to my car.

I sighed as I unlocked the passengers door and glanced around for the pack when I saw them laying on the drivers seat. I picked it up, realizing soon after I would probably need something to light it.

I opened the jockey box and grabbed my lighter, closing the car door afterwords . I sat on the bench outside the front window and pulled a cigarette out , lighting it. Inhaling the smoke took a weight off of my shoulders that I didn't even know was there.

I pulled my phone out of my back pocket and went to one of the best game to exist. After a few seconds, my character showed up on the empty maps with only roads. I haven't always had unlimited data, but once the game came out I had to get it.

I stood up and walked around, smoking and searching. It had said there were four nearby, so I looked for them.

After a few minutes, I saw jiggly puff on the side of the shop. Smiling to myself, I walked towards it a bit and aimed. I caught it on the first try, mentally jumping up and down in excitement.

I continued walking down the dirt road towards the trains , hoping to find pickachu.  I jogged to the end of the path, finding another Pokemon. I glanced around the nearby trains and surroundings, making sure to be safe.

Suddenly I saw something move out of the corner of my eyes. Quickly turning my head and narrowing my eye, I noticed something on top of one of the locomotives. Finishing my smoke, I threw it on the ground and stepped on it, making sure it was out. I walked over towards the train and put my phone in my pocket.

As I got closer, I realized there was someone a top the train. Approaching closer, I wasn't sure if I should just call them out. For all I know they could be an insane psychopath that's on drugs and looking for someone to murder. After all, this neighborhood wasn't exactly the safest.

It was really dark, so I wasn't sure how they would've gotten on. I don't even I know I noticed them.

"Hello?" I asked, making sure they could hear me. I heard sniffling, but no reply. "I'm not going to call the police or anything, I just want to make sure you're okay." I mean, being on top of a train was only kind of life threatening.

"I'm fine." I heard their voice, realizing it was a girl. She sounded like she was crying, hence the sniffling.

"What're you doing up there? That's not very safe." I approached the train so that  was right beside it.  "And it's late." I quickly added. I heard her laugh after my question.

"That's all kind of the point." I heard her mumble.

I took out my phone, turning on the flash. I pointed it up at her, taking a few steps back. I realized it she wasn't facing me, so I went over to the side of the train and searched for a latter to the top. I climbed on, finding a way up. I slowly approached her, not wanting to fall off, nor wanting to get pushed off.

I went and sat next to her, turning my flash off. She turned to me as I sat besides her. It was still pretty dark, the only light being the moon. On the bright side, my eyes had well adjusted to the darkness already .

She was wearing a hoodie,  the hood of it placed on top of her hair. She had a small backpack sitting on the side of her, and she was wearing black plants, sitting with her legs crossed. Practically camouflage.

I held my hand out to her, offering a hand shake.

          "I'm Michael."
