...

Quinn's POV:

Another day, another typical day at school. Well, kind of.

I had my normal classes, which consisted of me struggling with every possible thing, and considering I have multiple classes with Ponyboy, he of course wanted to help me out.

However, he couldn't.

He mainly just looked at me every so often, in which I refused to look back. Not that I didn't want to; he's pleasing to look at, I'll say that, but I know some people will jump to conclusions. High school most definitely has its perks when it comes to rumors and gossip (can you sense the sarcasm?).

Last period rolled in, which meant math class: my strongest suit.

I meticulously jotted down notes into my notebook, writing down tips and what not in a hurried manner.

Then came the time where the teacher would write a somewhat complex problem on the board, expecting me to find a solution, certain that I would get it right every time.

And I did get it right every time.

"Ms. Quinn, may you please come up to the board to solve this problem?" The teacher asked as she quickly finished up the problem on the chalkboard.

"Of course." I smiled sweetly, quick to get up from my seat.

I walked up to the chalkboard, confidently, my fingers carefully grabbing the tiny piece of chalk. I wrote away on the board, making sure to show my steps throughout solving it. Once I'm confident that I found the answer, I set the piece of chalk back down, wiping excess chalk dust off my fingers.

As I walked back to my desk with a smile that radiated my confidence, the teacher continuously looked at her book with the problem and its solution and back at the board, her eyebrows furrowed together.

"Quinn... I'm afraid that's wrong." She said, looking in my direction.

"What?" I asked in an angry tone of voice.

My eyes squinted at the board as I skimmed through my work, noticing that I only did the smallest thing wrong, but that completely messed up the whole process as to how I found my answer.

"I didn't even realize..." I said dryly, my eyes looking at the ground.

I couldn't help but focus on the snickering of some of the kids in the classroom, mostly the socs. I just shot a dirty look at them before looking back down, closing my eyes because otherwise I would burst into a fit of tears; I have never been one that could handle humiliation.

"Woah, what happened, Quinn?" A soc boy asked, laughing behind me.

"So, at first it was all beauty and actually SOME brains? Now it's all beauty and NO brains whatsoever." Another Soc guy teased, making me roll my eyes at his lame attempt to egg me on.

"Now you've definitely gone dumb. What happened to smart Quinn?" A soc girl chimed in, snickering, causing me to grasp on tightly to my skirt as my eyes grew warm.
