The Dark Fairy

Chapter 10: 6 Months

This takes place 6 months after the last chapter. Hope you enjoy!

Lucy's POV

"Are you okay, Erza?" I asked as me and her were blown into a rock wall by a monster. Me, Zena, Natsu, Gray and Erza are all a team and we're now on a mission.

"Thanks but I'm fine." She smiled. "But I'm not the one you should be worried about. Your daughter is getting a beating." I looked forward and saw Zena battling the monster by herself. That was the nickname Zena was giving. "My daughter" but I don't mind and neither does she.

"Black dragon wing attack!" She screamed. Then a black whip hit the monster. Zena has been taking lessons with Master to help her with her magic. And it looks like she mastered it.

"Ice make lance!" Gray shouted. Multiple ice lances attack the monster.

"Fire dragon wing attack!"
Natsu shouted. All of the attacked hit at the same time causing the monster to fell on its back.

"Let's attack it all together!" Erza shouted from behind me. We all nodded in agreement. Erza changed into her heavens wheel armor. Gray got into his ice make stance while striping in the process. Natsu jumped into the air. Zena jumped next to Natsu. And I summoned Loke and got out my whip.

"Black Dragon ROAR!"

"Fire Dragon ROAR!"

"Fallen petals!"

"Ice make glacier!"

"Radius Impact!" The monster took each and every attack from us. It soon fell to the ground in defeat. Loke went back to the spirit world and Zena and Natsu came back to the ground.

"Nice job everyone!" I shouted. We all high-fived until I was tackled by a little girl.

"We got another one, Mama!" Zena cried as she hugged me. Erza then joined in for a group hug. Gray and Natsu looked confused but Gray gave in and joined the hug. Soon Natsu did the same hugging me and Erza from behind. We all laughed to the way to get our reward. It's so great in how just 6 months we all became the bestest of friends.

After we got back to the guild hall we were greeted with smiles. "Welcome back everyone!" Mira said to us. She had a huge smile of her face. Me and Zena sat at the bar and ordered our usual. "Happy Birthday Zena!" Mira said as she pulled out a present from under the bar. Zena's face lit up.

"What's that?" She asked. It's like she was an alien. She didn't really now a lot of things so I teach what it is. It's so cute!

"It's a present. When it's your birthday your friends give you gifted to show how much you mean to them." I said with a grin. She took the present and opened it. Inside was a baby yellow ribbon with flowers on it. She held it and started to laugh.

"Thank you very much Mirajane!"

"Your very welcome!" She replied. I was going to have a party for her but we came back from our job later then expected. "Everyone Listen up!" Mira shouted. "Today is Zena's birthday so party hard!" The guild cheered. The guild drank and danced and partied till they dropped.

Zena's POV:

Today is my birthday! Why, why? I don't want to leave! Papa told me before I came to a Fairy Tail that my birthday was the day that I would have to complete my mission. I guess my only choice is to do it at night when Mama's sleeping. I guess its for the best because I get to be with Mama forever! But for now I will simply enjoy my birthday party with all of my friends.

Normal POV:

After Zena's birthday party at the guild, Lucy and Zena were again the only ones not pasted out. "Fairy Tail sure knows how to party!" Zena said with a yawn. Lucy smiled and began rubbing her head. "I can't believe I'm 5!" She shouted almost falling off her chair. "This is the first time I didn't celebrate my birthday with my brothers, sisters and papa." Her smile faded.

"But instead you spent it with all of your friends. It doesn't matter how you celebrate it with, because near or far we love you." Zena's smile returned to her face. Lucy jumped off her chair and stretched her arms out. "Come on, let's go home and get some sleep." Lucy said holding out her hand. Zena grabbed it and they began walked home.

After 5 minutes of walking Lucy picked up a sleepy Zena and carried her the rest of the way. When they arrived Zena went straight to bed. "Hey Zena theirs a letter here for you. I'll leave it on the table." In those 6 months Lucy got a bigger place thanks to Zena's help on harder missions and she now as her own room. But most of the time Lucy wakes up with Zena next to her.

Zena's POV:

I suddenly woke up in my bed. I walked over to Mamas room and saw her fast asleep. I when over to the kitchen table and sat down. The letter that Mama was talking about is next to me. I grabbed it and opened it very fast. It read:

     Dear my sweet daughter Zena,

Happy birthday! Today is the day you come home. You know what to do and we all believe in you. And remember that you will be with her forever. And one more thing. I love you!

     -Your papa

I walked into Mamas room and started panicking a little. You got this! I said to myself. I placed my hands exactly 2 inches above her chest and started chanting. "From light to dark and dark to light, Lucy Heartfillia, shine with bright. From one to another, another to one, make Lucy Heartfillia shine darker than some!" I shouted the last part. Immediately after I chanted, Mama began to glow. She woke up silently and sat up quickly. The light then vanished has did her bright pink guild mark. Instead stood a black one like mine but darker. I hugged her.

"Come child. Let's show the guild my new power you have given me." She had an evil grin on her face. "Then we shall return home."
