Chapter 28: My Love

Lucy's POV

I didn't want to bother Sabertooth anymore with me being their so I decided to leave. I went to tell the others when I got dizzy. Maybe not having magic is finally taking a toll on my body. We're on the train now and Wendy is smiling at me for some reason. "Why are you so happy?" I asked laughing.

"Because I've never been to the Saber guild before. It's huge!" She cried happily. So childish! I put my elbow on the window sill and glanced out the window. Right now Natsu would be juking out the window before Erza knocked him out. Gray would laugh and Zena would sleep on my lap as I stroked her soft hair. Natsu would look cute asleep and as soon as the train stopped he would jump out the window! I would carry Zena on my back as she slowly woke up. Man did she love her sleep. I didn't notice until Erza put a hand on my shoulder that I was crying. Tears were running down my face faster and faster.

"Are you okay Lucy?" She asked. I smiled and wiped my tears. I'm done lying.

"N-no," still with a smile my tears fall more. "I was just thinking about before. Where you would knock Natsu out while Zena slept on my lap." Suddenly my hand with my guild mark began to glow. The three of us just stared at it before it quickly dimmed down back to plain pink.

"I know everything is different, but the one thing that's the most different is you." Erza looked to her left where I was next to her. "Please, I'm begging you," she grabbed my hand. "Stop smiling!" I gasped. Why would she say that to me? "I can tell you don't mean those smiles your giving us, and it must hurt to smile when you feel like crying. So I'm begging you, don't lie to us anymore! Cry if you want, smile or laugh or scream, but be honest." She hugged me. More tears rolled down my plain pale face onto her silver cold amour. "The worst type of pain is when you smile just to kept the tears from falling." I started to cry again. I hugged Erza back tight. I now realized that Erza Scarlet is my best friend.

"I'm sorry Erza!" I cried. "I'm sorry for hurting you, for lying to everyone!" We both hugged tight. "I miss him! I just want everything to go back to the way is was!" I cried so much I could overflow an ocean. I saw Wendy wipe a tear away from her eye in the corner of mine. And for the next few moments we sat in silence as the train took us back to the guild I called home for many years.

"We're back!" Wendy yelled over the noisy guild hall. My face was stained with tears. I sat at the bar and like reading my mind Mira handed me a milkshake.

"Thanks Mira." I grinned and sipped it a bit. My mom always made great milkshakes but I think Mira's is better. Sorry Mom! "I think I'm gonna go home and rest for a while." I told her heading for the door. "Can you tell Zena I'm home when she comes back?" I asked.

"Sure thing! I'll walk you home." Mira smiled and put a cup down following me as I leave the guild hall.

"Thanks Mira." I said as we stand in front of my building.

"No problem, Lucy!" She smiled and waved to me while I entered. The smell was the same. I put the key slowly in the doorknob and turned in. I was shown a dark room that smelt of bacon, Zena's favorite food. I turned the lights on expecting to see Natsu and Happy on my bed. I close the door and place my keys in the tray by the front door. While walking to my bed flashbacks of before kept popping up to my mind. It's like I had no control over it.

"Nice place Lucky." He said. He was sitting on my bed while his arms crossed staring right at me. No pain this time. "So you live here with Zena?" I didn't answer. He's all in my head if I ignore him he'll go away. "Don't ignore me Lucky!" He shouted. I sat my the table and stared down at my hands. "Oh so that's how your going to be. When I come here without hurting you, you just plain out ignore me." He walked over to the table and sat down in front of me. "I'm all in your head. Is that right? Well is this all in your head?" He snapped his fingers and pain surged through my body at full fast.

"Agh!" I shouted holding my stomach. "It hurts!" I whispered. He lifted my chin towards him and forced me to look at him. His face scared me. It's like looking at Natsu's face but with evil in his eyes.

"So can you make sure that I'm here now?" He laughed. "Ya know, your the reason why I'm alive. Did I tell you this? Well you are. It's all because of that stupid thing called love." My breathing was heavy and it felt as if I was being stabbed so many times in every inch of my body. Suddenly the pain stopped and END stared at me. "Now that I have you full attention listen closely."

"What the hell do you want?!" I shouted.

"I want you to stop loving." I was so confused.

"What? Stop loving?" I asked.

"You heard me. Because of love your friends are going to die and I'm going to be stronger." Why is he telling me this. Doesn't he want me to love to make him stronger? "We are connected through the magic you so thoughtfully gave me and if you love that only makes me stronger. Strong enough to control your thoughts and movements." He snapped his fingers again and I though of the first time I met Natsu. Me holding up my hand to help him up after I knocked into him.

"Natsu," I whispered.

"So don't love! Your you'll regret it!" He clapped and I was in a field. The sky was red and the ground was dark. Fire was almost everywhere. All around me was Fairy Tail members dead on the floor. And in front of me was Zena. She was crying. I looked at my hand and it was piecing Zena through the chest with a knife.

"No, no stop!" I cried. Zena frowned at me and whispered something that I couldn't hear. "Please no! I'll stop loving I will! Just don't hurt anyone of my friends and don't make me hurt them!" I cried. Finally I was back in my room with a smirking demon next to me.

"Glad you see it my way Lucky. Oh and if you don't mind," he brushed his hand up against my cheek. It was ice cold that I shivered at his touch. "I'll be following you around for now on. Just to make sure you remember, my dear Lucky." He laughed and sat in the chair I was sitting in before.

"What?" I'm so confused. But for some reason I'm not mad. I feel like Natsu is watching over me. I walked over to my bed and lied across it with my clothes on. I closed my eyes and drifted to sleep.
