Chapter 31: The One True Magic

Normal POV

She stood there protecting Zena with her body not knowing that Fairy Tail is behind her. Erza starts to tear up. She races to the edge of the barrier and puts her hands on it. "Lucy! Lucy it's me!" She shouts.

"She can't hear you. This barrier is only for protection. She can't see or hear us." Mavis responses rather quickly. Erza drops her hands and sits watching her best friend.

"How can you kill me if you don't have magic?" END asked her. Lucy looked at the ground and relaxed her body.

"My mom told me something once, about the strongest magic in the world. It's when you feel someone in your heart when you must live for someone." She pointed to END. "You controlled my body and kill my best friend in the world, you hurt the only person that I cared about for 6 months, and you used my love for Natsu against me creating a demon that hurt my friends! You made Zena feel guilty for what you did. You made me feel like my love was the problem for Fairy Tail. You hurt my friends and that unforgivable!" Lucy's hand started glowing. She didn't mind but END backed away. "The love I have for Fairy Tail, for Zena, for Natsu and for Erza will unleash the most powerful magic known to man. The one true magic, Love." Suddenly Lucy's whole body was glowing with the purest color of white. Her blonde hair flew up with the surge of magical power. "Love is not something you can learn or forget, because we all have someone that loves us dearly." She held her hands close to her heart. "My dearest friend Erza is gone because of you! My Natsu will probably not come back after I finish you! My guild will never look at me the same! But no matter what...I love them with all my heart!" The glow brightened and suddenly an explosion of light came from Lucy. When the light dimmed down there Lucy stood. Her eyes shined bright brown, her hair was the color of the stars, all of the injuries she got from END were gone. In her hands were the purest white. The color of heaven surrounded her fists. For this moment, Lucy Heartfilia was the strongest wizard in the world. The guild members stared in complete shock. Tears dripped from some faces over beauty.

"In my whole long life, I've never seen someone who can harness the one true magic." Mavis's eyes were fixed on Lucy.

"A heart filled with sorrow and despair. She is the one who loves the most." Lisanna walked over to the barrier and placed her hands and forehand on it. Tears slowly slipped down her face. "If anyone can save us, it's you Lucy." She whispered. Mirajane put her hand on her shoulder and Elfman hugged both his sisters.

"We all believe in you Lucy." Mirjane said. Erza stood up and pointed her finger in the air creating the Fairy Tail signal. Finally everyone was holding their hand in the air.

"This is for my mother, my father, my guild, my friends, my family," Lucy held out her hands and connected them at the wrist. White surrounded her and all gathered in her hands. "If you can hear me Fairy Tail I want you to know, my life is so much better with you all, I don't care if my mother wanted something different this is what I wanted. I wanted the strength to help you and protect you. I guess you can call me Lucky." She smiled with tears falling like shooting stars down her cheeks. "I love all of you!" She shouted with her head back. Her hands released a heaven white blast on a path straight towards END. His hands went in front of him to protect him. The white engulfed the demon causing him to scream at the top of his lungs. The power of Love is even able to defeat Zeref. The smoke from the blast cleared and showed END on the floor. His skin was streaming and was burning. He got up and clenched his teeth and fists.

"Love?" He began. "Love can only bring destruction and sorrow and heartbreak. You blame me for your friends being hurt even when it's your fault! Your the one who killed Erza. You love hurt Zena and your love made me into a monster!" Lucy dropped her hands. Tears flowed down END's face. Lucy walked closer to him. END hit her with many blasts but were unable to touch her due to the barrier that was created around Lucy from her magic.

"Natsu," she whispered. Lucy kept walked towards END. He back away trying every blast to hit her. "It's you Natsu." Finally she started to run. She then jumped into the air landing on END.

"Stay ba-" he was stopped by something rather strange. His lips were pressed against something. But he felt relaxing. Like all his worries were gone. White lights surround him as he looked around and saw the cause of this strange feeling. Lucy was kissing him. Lucy's tears fell as her lips touched END's. Very slowly END's horns grew smaller and finally disappearing from sight. Lucy was still kissing him and holing his neck so she didn't fall over. The markings on his arms turned to ash and flew away with the wind. After about 5 minutes END was back to being Natsu. Their kids broke and they both gasped for air. "Lucy,"

"Natsu," Lucy smiled and hugged him as hard as she could. The heaven white  aura dimmed down and gathered into her Fairy Tail mark making it white. Lucy and Natsu smiled at each other and touched foreheads and then sharing another kiss.

"Thank you Lucy." Natsu said. Suddenly the barrier that Mavis put up dropped relieving the guild. Erza stared at Lucy and Lucy stared at her. Erza ran so fast up to her and hugged her tightly. Lucy was shocked and didn't say anything or hug back.

"I'm here Lucy, I'm alive!" Erza started to cry. The guild gasped and stepped a few feet back.

"Erza?" She looked at her friend. "It is you. My best friend Erza!" Lucy hugged back and cried as well. The guild ran to greet Lucy and Natsu with joy and laughter.

"You did it Lucy!" Mavis shouted hugging her. Natsu just stood in the middle of the circle formed around him by members.

"I-I'm so very s-sorry." He says and bows to everyone. Gray comes up to him and kicks him in the stomach.

"You flame idiot!" He shouted. Natsu looked at him and smiled.

"Right back at ya ice queen!" He laughed. The circle came in and created a huge group hug. Lisanna stood in front of Natsu and smiled.

"I'm happy your back Natsu." Natsu gave her his famous smile and patted her on the head.

"Come on!" Happy shouted from the top of Natsu's head. "Let's go back to the guild and party!" The guild screamed in unison in agreement. All of the members left except for Natsu, Lucy and Zena who was still unconscious under a tree. Natsu bent down to Zena and picked her up in a piggy back.

"By the way Lucy, how were you able to do that awesome stuff without magic?" Natsu asked walking back to the guild. Lucy hugged Natsu's arm.

"You don't need magic to love." She answered. Natsu nodded and grinned.

"I love you too Lucy."

At the guild glasses were overflowing with beer and wine and laugher filled the while place. Even Mavis was drunk! Natsu and Lucy stayed in the infirmary with Zena as she woke up. She slowly opened her eyes and sat up rubbing her bandaged up head. "Onii-chan?" She asked when she saw Natsu. Natsu grinned.

"I'm not your brother, I'm Natsu!" She smiled and turned to Lucy.

"Mama." Lucy immediately got up and hugged her. Zena hugged back. "I think I'm gonna stay in Fairy Tail with you mama." She said with a light smile.

"I'm glad." She said and sat back down. "Because now, we're like a real family." She held Natsu's hand across the bed and Zena's lap. Zena held Lucy and Natsu's other hand. She laughed and hugged both of them.

"I'm all fired up!" She shouted.
