Captivated

Chapter 2

Sean's POV

"Sure" was all Shaun said still smiling to himself when I suddenly heard a shriek from behind me. 'Fuck'

That was all I could think off while turning around to see a girl with platinum blond hair run towards me. "Claudia, How've you been?" I ask taking no interest in her answer, not wanting to offend her; But honestly i didn't mind being on Natalia's bad side. I could no longer bare her sticking to me! Don't get me wrong she's good looking, polite, sweet, and over all a good person. Her dad was a good friend of my dad. She has many admirers chasing behind her but for some reason she is hung up on me.. "Sean! I am so happy to see u again. Its been too long my darling!" She says giving me a tight hug. "Ugh" I don't even bother to resist cause in the past it lead to me getting a lecture from my parents of how i should behave properly outside my home and be polite to all; no matter who they are, speaking respectfully is always important. 'Ugh'  I can hear Shaun giggling beside me watching me go through torture. 

Yeah, It was good seeing you too Claudia. I have to go now, See you later" I said separating her from me and running towards the university lawn with Shaun behind me. A faint "I love u" was all I was able to hear from her. Jeez can't she take a hint? She's like a sister to me. I have already turned her down a million times!

 A number of groups of people stare at us while we walked past them, whispering things to each other their eyes not budging. Being among the popular guys in the university, we have gotten used to this kind of behavior towards us over the past couple of years. Its fun but the bad part of it is the amount of girls we have to reject. Its not like we will accept any person who has a crush on us. And we cant tell them not to comment on us now can we? So we ignore them and keep going until we stop in front of 3 guys sitting down under a tree.

We walk up to them as a black hair guy looks up from his phone and smiles at us. "Long time no see, Sean" he says. "Liam, my man. It's good to see u." Liam and I had met the previous year; he had class along with Shaun and me for business. "Colin, how u man?" I say to the dark hair guy with glasses. "All good" was all he said before looking back into his book. He's the studious one in our group you can say. Shaun and I met him back in high school. He wasn't a nerd but he also wasn't a jock either. People have called him the ideal man. The three of us grew close over the years' and have been friends since then. I glance over at the blond hair guy. He seems to be trying his best to pout and show me that he is angry and ignoring me while the others start conversing with each other. I walkover to the blond guy and sit beside him. "Awww. Is our marshmallow angry with me?" I say trying to as motherly as possible without bursting out in laughter. His real name is Marshall but we just like to tease him by calling him 'marshmallow'. We met him during our first year in the university. He has to be one of the weirdest people i have ever met but is Shaun's cousin, and a good friend. All five of us have bonded well though not as much as Shaun and me but we all are pretty close and are willing to do anything for each other; that includes irritating and driving each other insane.

I count to five giving him time and wait for his explosion. "Don't you bloody call me that Sean!!!." All of us laugh at his out burst and he joins in too.

Our university has a huge compound filled with trees, bushes, and flower beds. Searching for a suitable place where I can spend my free time and find some peace and quiet. I keep wandering around. I suddenly hear a faint sound. Thinking it is some girl trying to jump me I hide behind a tree; it has happened before in my defense, but at that time my friends were with me. Thankfully nothing happened. Honestly i have grown tired of all the girls trying to be with me for my looks and wealth. It gets irritating. Not hearing anyone approach I resume walking forward trying to find a suitable spot, but stop dead in my tracks when i hear the sound again but this time it was someone singing. It was pretty good; the voice made me feel at peace. I stood there listening to this beautiful voice for some more time before walking towards its direction.

I was surprised to see a girl sitting on a tree branch leaning her back against the bark singing. She was gorgeous. I mean, come on! where do u see girls now a days climbing trees? Her long brown hair tied up in a high pony tail, and she was wearing a hoodie with a pair of jeans and sneakers. It was my first time seeing someone like her around here. But just by looking at her my heart felt happy for some reason. I have no idea how long i was in a daze because the next thing I knew, she was off the branch and next to me kicking me behind the knees while pushing me down and twisting my arm behind my back sending a shot of pain though it.

"Move and I WILL break you arm!"
