Chapter 5

Kate's POV

'Damn it!!! What the hell is wrong with me?!? I am supposed to be laying low! It's all his fault, that I am here; Out of all the places possible why did I have to come here??' I whine to myself.

I had been hanging out with Sean and his friends for sometime now. They are good guys. Most of them have girlfriends, except two. We have played video games, bowling, watched movies, gone to the mall, normal stuff. It felt nice doing all these things with people and having fun. But this was different. 'Its the worst place to be in right now.' The place I was in was called 'Fusion 69' one of the most crowded places in the city. It's was a mix of a bar, restaurant, and a pub. It would have been amazing if there were fewer people and I was in a circumstances where I could party and have fun, but right now its dangerous. How did he even manage to get us in here? This place is not only expensive but also packed with people. Anyway, I'll have to admit defeat and get out of here..... Tell him that I can't handle this and leave. I hate it when people think I can't handle something and prove them wrong but I can't help it in this situation... I can't put him and his friends in danger. I've got to get out now. So I get up from my seat at the booth where I was sitting and a couple who were friends with Sean were making out, and started walking out of that place.

While walking and searching for the exit the corner of my eye caught a glimpse of someone in a suit talking a person I suppose is the manager. I felt like I knew who the person was but just couldn't recognize him. My heart beat started to speed-up as I felt a gaze on me. I kept walking as I felt it get closer and closer to me. I spun around a little too fast and lost my balance; so I had no option but to hold on to the person behind me to avoid falling on my face. I clutched his arms as my eyes measured the distance between my body and the floor.

"Sorry" I muttered my heart still beating with fear. "No problem." He replied and helped me regain my balance. I looked up to see his face while he was still holding on to my forearms. He was the same man I saw a minute ago speaking to the manager. He was quite good looking with a good body; we could say he worked out. I noticed he had on a ear ring on his left ear and it suited him really well. I let go of him and noticed he was quite tall.

"Thank you"

"Your welcome sweetheart, wouldn't want someone so cute falling now do we." He gave me a half smile and walked off after saying that. I froze in my place as I had realised who he was. "Adrian" I whispered in disbelief. What was he doing here? 'Well that's a stupid question' I scold myself. I know what he is doin here. Fear started to build up in me. It's been just over a month since I came here. They couldn't have found me that quickly, could they have?? I started walking fast towards the exit. If he came here to find me it won't be long till he recognizes me. If I hadn't changed my hair colour back to its original one, he would have known its me. I can't afford to wait around here! I have to go!

Sean's POV

I can't believe she fell for that trick of mine. I didn't think it would work. I brought her to Fusion 69 best place ever, I obviously got in cause I know the owners; clients of my dad. I had left Kate with Julian and his girl while I went to get us a drink. I think to myself that I want to get to know her; her likes and dislikes, everything. I have never been so curious about her. I guess she being so secretive is the reason I want to know about her so much.

I went back to the booth with our drinks and see, she is not there. Julian and his girl were making out so I knew it would be useless to even ask them. I look around a bit and notice her standing looking scared. She suddenly starts to walk towards the exit. I rush through the crowd and try to follow her but to no avail. I went out though the exit and she was no where to be found. I walk back inside wondering what went wrong for her to look so scared. I decided to call her but realized I had left my phone at my place. I went back in and told Julian I was leaving and asked him to tell the others that I left. After that I went home and tried to call her. 'Pick up Kate. What happed back there that you were so scared?
