"There's a party."
The words made Harry furrow his eyebrows in confusion. "Okay? And?"
"You could go, if you wanted."
"Are you crazy, Liam?"
Harry hadn't been to a high school party before. He didn't like the popular crowd, and they didn't like him, so there was no problem with that. But now that he was kind-of friends with a popular kid, he could if he wanted to.
"What's the real reason you want me to go?" Harry asked with a sigh after Liam didn't answer his first question.
"Zayn's going, and I need moral support," Liam responded guiltily.
"You want me to be your wingman?"
"No. I don't need help getting him... I need help in case anything happens."
Harry resisted the urge to laugh. "In case what happens?"
"I don't know," Liam said. "What if he gets drunk and tries to kiss me?"
"Then I'd say that you're one step closer to your goal. Stop worrying. You want him to kiss you in front of people, right?"
"That's not what I meant," Liam said. "And definitely not when he's drunk! Just say that you'll go. Please?"
"Maybe. When is it?"
"Thursday night. I'll give you the address, just in case." Today was Monday. That gave Harry a few days.
Harry rolled his eyes. Who threw a party on a Thursday? "Whatever."

Harry liked how Louis had become nicer for the past couple weeks.
He couldn't tell if he was just acting for the job, or if he really was being nice. Whatever the reason, it made Harry feel much better about Louis. Not to mention, he hadn't had a negative encounter in the hallway with him since Louis had changed, even a little bit. Zayn hadn't said a word to Harry since Liam had interrupted and dragged Zayn away. Everything was fairly pleasant in his life at the moment.
"Favorite band?" Louis asked, tapping his pencil against his cheek. Harry didn't know why Louis was writing this down.
"Um... I have a lot. I like Coldplay, and Elvis Presley, and the Beatles. Just to name a few."
"Interesting," Louis said, scribbling what Harry guessed was what he said onto the notepad he held. "Coldplay's good. The Beatles are a classic. Elvis — I like a couple songs. I like the Fray."
"They're good. They came to London a little bit ago — did you go?"
"Nah. I wanted to, but I had to do shit and the only seats left by the time I had found them were nosebleed section seats."
"Because everyone knows Louis Tomlinson is too good for the nosebleed section," Harry teased.
"Exactly."
Harry laughed. Louis was intriguing, and his blue eyes were far beyond what Harry classified as gorgeous. He resisted it as much as possible, but he knew the telltale signs of when he started liking someone. He only hoped that his weird feelings didn't grow too much. Louis was straight, and he wouldn't appreciate it much if Harry made a move. Plus, it would be a shame to put a end to the friendly Louis that was sitting in front of him.
"Favorite color?"
"Um... I like them all."
"Pick one, then. I'm completing a survey — little details about Harry Styles that no one cares about. So pick a color."
