Nick and I had walked for a pretty long time today, gathering supplies and fighting off raiders when it's needed. I try to lead us through the shadows when there are things to do to avoid any fighting, but this time it was unavoidable.

I lead Nick back through Concord, cringing at how quiet it is. I step onto a large pile of rubble, crawling onto the top and smiling a little as I see a way up to a roof. I start to climb, Nick chiming in with an "are you sure this is a good idea, (Y/N)?".

Of course I was sure, we could get a better vantage point of where we were from here. I pull myself onto the roof and stand, peering over the sides. The view was beautiful, the dark, rainy looking sky covering us, the sun still shining through at all of the streets. I'm broken out of my thoughts as a gunshot rings out, jumping and falling onto my ass. Pain wracking my body, I defensively pull my right arm to my chest, looking down at it I groan in pain, blood seeping through my sleeve and onto my shirt.

More gunshots can be heard as my vision fades to black.
