- Nagisa's POV -

Karasuma eventually called his team to take us back to the school, but we were to walk back home without their help. The girls that were taken were back, except Kayano.

And our once sick classmates were back on their feet. At least, they weren't treating me like Isogai was at the time. I really need to apologize to him soon.

Karma wanted to walk me home for some reason, and I didn't exactly have a reason to not let him. I answered him with a yes, and he seemed a little over excited to do so. His teasing really does cheer me up sometimes.

"Ne, Karma?" Starting off a conversation with things are right now wasn't easy for me.

"Hm? What's up Nagisa? Just wanting to break the ice or....?" He smiled, giving me the confidence to keep talking.

"Maybe, but, do you think Kayano will be alright? I mean, she did injure Yuji and even admitted it. And apparently she did something else too," my voice wandered off to a subject I wasn't suppose to talk about.

My redheaded friend caught on, being the intelligent sadist I know. "Something else? Well what'd she do?"

"Oh sorry, I wasn't suppose to talk about that."

"Who told you not to talk about it?" He slowed down his pace of talking, like he was registering what he was gonna say. Or he's finding me out, probably both.

"Y-Yuji."

Right after I replied to his question, he stopped walking entirely.

"Karma?"

"Listen Nagisa. That Yuji kid who wrote down his number on your hand?" he held up my wrist and faced the number to me. "Yeah, don't call him."

"W-Why not? It's not like he's gonna track me down and rob me!" I took away my wrist and averted my blue eyes away from Karma's ombre ones.

"He's loaded, that could actually happen. Maybe he's gonna bankrupt you after you send him a convenient little text with a photo attached to it."

"Yuji, wouldn't do that," I took a step back, only to find that Karma took a step forward.

Karma still had a straight face on, just his voice was stammering. "You don't know that at all. He could fucking molest you or even rape you if he gets a hold of your address."

I was backed up against a streetlight pole now. "Stop it Karma, that's not gonna happen," no way was I gonna back talk to him. So my voice was shaky, and not backed up in the slightest.

"Yes, it can. If you call him, he might even kidnap you the day after."

"N-No. You're just over exaggerating, that's not true!"

"You can't just trust someone so easily Nagisa! Do you want him to kill you?!"

I guess a brain cell got triggered, 'cause I started bawling and holding onto my bag for support. "STOP IT!! You're acting like trying to make peace with Yuji's a bad thing! He just wanted to tell me why he was being so harsh to Kayano, nothing else!"

"Wait wha-?"

"Please... just stop. You're scaring me really bad and I, I don't know what to feel at this point," I didn't even need to finish my broken sentence 'cause the psychopath grabbed my shoulders and brought his face near.

He sighed sincerely before giving me a lecture. "I really don't want to make you scared, but you need to know that you can't trust someone who gave you their number. Especially if they're taking your best friend to court to sue for whatever reason."

"Where are you going with this?"

"Listen to me, k? Just do yourself a favor, and don't call him. It'll be worth it, trust your buddy Karma here," he smiled at me, giving me the vibe that I could trust him.

Karma wiped away my tears with his thumb then patted my head like a child's. I chuckled at his lighthearted movements that brought me joy. "Karma?"

"Yeah?"

My face heated up slowly as I grabbed one of his wrists. "Could you, maybe move away a bit? This looks a little weird, especially out here."

He looked down at how our legs were kinda interwined while our faces were centimeters apart. Not to mention he was pushing me against a streetlight pole with his hands trapping me there. Just to tease me even further, he took hold of my own wrist and pinned it against the hard surface.

"So, you want me to get off?" He licked his lips in a seductive that brought me to blush even harder.

"Y-Yeah, may you please?" Fuck, I just stroked his ego. Didn't help that I keep not direct facing him. He took his free hand and brought it up to my red face, making me eye him in fear.

"Say it while looking at me, you little ikemen."

"Don't tease me now Karma," I puffed out my cheeks, and he busted out laughing while letting go of his grip on me. Aw it felt good to properly breathe again.

My redheaded friend eventually came back to a normal state. "But for real, don't call that pervert or else I'll punish you next time." His wink impacted the way I felt about the situation.

"That little time we spent on that pole was torture enough."

He met my eyes and grabbed one of my pigtails, playing with it through his fingers. "You're lucky I'm someone you could let your guard around. What if it was that Yuji kid, or any other pervert in the streets?"

"You're like an overprotective boyfriend Karma, hehe..." I took a breath before stepping away from the taller boy touching me.

"Eh, at least I'm not an overprotective mom or something."

I stopped laughing at that comment. Oh crap.

"Did you say, m-mom?" I asked him while clenching my fists.

"Yeah, should I have said dad or...?" He was confused to absolute death. Turning on my heel, I ran forward while leaving my best friend dumbfounded and worried. I could even hear him shouting my name before leaving the streets entirely.

'She's gonna be pissed off at you.'

"I know that, that's why I'm rushing!"

'I don't wanna be hit, or insulted, or dressed again.'

"That's gonna happen no matter how fast I run at this point!"

'I wanna still talk to Karma and Sugino on the phone. She's gonna take it away.'

"Shit, that's not good."

'Why didn't you tell Karma you needed to be home right away?'

"I lost track of time and he was teasing me so much I had a full-on conversation with him!"

'We're here already, stop running and jumping over pavement now.'

"No kidding."

The lights in my room were on, but I was certain I turned them off. But that was the only light on in the entire house, and mom was definitely back home today.

'Protect your neck.'

"It's already bruised purple."

'It won't stop her.'

"This can't end good."

Five chapters in and I'm not even at the climax yet. Dang it. Well, then I guess it'll just have to be a longer fanfic then. I won't really explain this later on, but the slanted letters being all negative is like a consensus trying to assure Nagisa something is gonna happen without necessarily being Nagisa. Like a voice in his head pretty much.
