- Nagisa's POV -
My hands were scratched from slipping on the pavement. Karma stood up like nothing happened and gave me a boost to stand up myself.
He sighed, with me not knowing whether he was relieved or tired. "Well, guess I should give this back to you." He took out the money I was suppose to use for medicine out of his pocket.
"You mugged me?!" I screeched while taking the money that was rightfully mines in the first place.
"It's your fault for not noticing. You were a blushing mess and I took the opportunity to steal from you."
This guy sometimes...
"Hey, Karma?" My heart was beating rapidly, almost inhumanly.
"Yeeees Nagisa?" He extended my name with that seductive tone he was blessed with from the gods. I held onto the paper I needed so I could buy medicine with great strength.
I sighed harshly. "W-Well, I need to go buy something for my mom so-"
"Sleeping medicine right? The red one that all of us took when we were children?" He leaned up against the wall while I stared at him. How the heck did he know? What is this sorcery?!
"Y-You know?!"
The redhead stuck his tongue out and scoffed. "Geeez, I was hoping you caught on!"
"Eh?"
"I was following you, get it?" He flicked my forehead and looked at how dumbfounded I was. With that stupid smile of his, he started laughing. "You think I wouldn't hear your 'internal' monologuing when you mumble it under your breath?"
I flicked his forehead back. "Don't make fun of me you sadist."
To my surprise he took it well and wrapped his arm around my neck, letting it fall over my shoulder. Karma then spun us both around, leading away from this alleyway.
"I don't know why you need some children's medicine, but I won't ask."
"Yeah, thanks for that."
__________We ended up talking about our future if we go separate ways from now on. Karma told me he thinks there was no way Koro-sensei could be alive if Takaoka was the one to take him. I felt him clench his fist on my shoulder a few times when he told me what that yellow octopus talked to him about.
"I actually never thought of killing him when he took us to the movie. Not even before Ritsu suggested it."
That was what surprised me the most. The whole world was at stake, and he didn't think of killing the source at the moment. And here I thought he was just a sadist who befriended me just to tease the heck out of me.
We said our goodbyes after I got what I needed. He suggested I spend the night over at his place since the school probably needed to find a teacher to teach us, and they probably didn't have backup.
Of course, I had to decline and return to my home. I didn't get a smacking that hard. Just a quick slap to the face and a few kicks to the ankles was it for being late once more.
__________Next thing I knew, I locked myself in my bathroom.
"It's my fault he's dead now. It's my fault the class needs to defend Kayano. What the hell's wrong with me?" I stared at the beaming light after huffing the words out of my mouth. "And I still have Yuji's number, huh?"
It was time to brush my teeth after I realized the amount of time I spent sulking. "Crap, don't wanna lose my teeth."
I got up from the floor and opened the cabinet. The toothpaste was surrounded by three things. All were razors I prepared if I ever decided to go down that route. But I'm glad I never resorted to that.
