"How do you know about him?" I took away my hand, almost making her fall over on the freshly mowed grass.

She groaned in annoyance while placing a hand on her hip. "That's because Karma wouldn't stop worrying about you when I came over last night. Just Nagisa this, Nagisa that, and a pervert that he wanted to beat the crap out of. Nothing about the class's plan."

"W-Well that's Karma Akabane for you. A teasing son of a bitch who'd kill anyone who messes with his classmates," I laughed at my analogy for him. That's nowhere near the actual way I think of him. Okuda punched my arm lightly.

"No, he was just talking about how he was worried about you. He even said he had to calm himself down to not kill that Yuji kid who messed with you. It wasn't his usual conversation starter."

"But-"

"OKUDA! YOU DONE YET?!" Karma's worring voice came back at the worst time. This time, Okuda made herself visible by moving away from the wall and meeting the redhead near the lockers by the entrance.

"Y-Yeah! Sorry, I thought I heard something, t-turns out it was just a squirrel. Thank god," she lied to him gaining back her stuttering. And the unsuspecting redhead bought it.

They both entered the classroom again.

'So, what now? Gonna avoid that saidst until green lady's released?'

"No, I'm gonna break Kayano out. I'm gonna call Yuji tonight and convince him to drop charges. And that's a promise," I looked at the number with hope shining in my eyes. "Don't worry Kayano. I won't abandon you, not this time."

The door leading to the classroom sprung open, stammering feet leading outside. Not wanting to be seen, and assuming Okuda hadn't been a snitch yet, I scurried away from the school, and into town. Mom probably hasn't checked her emails yet, so I could take some time off pretending I was at school.

"I wonder what Karma's doing right now."

'You're suppose to stay away from that guy.'

"I still wanna know what's he doing. I mean, if he invited Okuda in his house last night, who knows what other stuff he's doing." A sigh escaped from my lips. "What's worse, I won't even be able to ask him myself."

So the plan in action is just stay away from him, and he'll eventually help with defending Kayano if I can't talk it out with Yuji. Okuda will be happy to see Karma back to normal, and Kayano would be free of charges. That seems about right, I hope.

I went to a nearby cafe to get myself a coffee and went back to my place. My mom wasn't there, thank god for that. The walls made the room seem duller than it actually was. It was lonely for sure.

My eyes gazed at the number on my hand. Even though the numbers were fading they were still clearly visible. I immediately took out my phone and sat on my couch when I saw it was still surprisingly there. Doubt clouded my mind, even though my fingers were already sliding across the screen, number to number.

I swallowed the lump in my throat and pressed the 'call' button. I tapped my foot while waiting for a flighty voice to pick up the phone. Eventually it did.

"Hello?"

I tightened my grip on my phone. "Uh, hello. Is this Y-Yuji?"

"Yes, you finally called! What took you so long? How's that teacher of yours?" His cheery voice almost diminished the despair in my voice.

"Well, our plan failed miserably. Our teacher, he-" I felt the tears building up in my eyes as my vision blurred. "-he's dead. He's not coming back."

"Oh, I'm really s-sorry, is there anything I can do?"

I took my chance. "What the hell happened between you and Kayano? She doesn't deserve to be locked up no matter what she did."

"..."

"Y-Yuji?" My tears fell down my chin as I didn't hear a response. "Are you okay?!"

"She threatened to kill me. That green-haired bitch, she told me she had the power to kill me if I didn't stop bothering her," he sounded like he was reading off a script, but the way his voice shook left that thought to perish.

"Wha-?"

"Without any warning she faced me with, I-I think something green sticking out of her neck? Her eyes were filled with r-rage, she wasn't joking. No way could she have been."

Wait, something green? "What? I, can you describe how they looked? I think I may know." Oh crap.

"Just, something that looked like it had no bones! And, there were two of them. The sound they made, it was disgusting. I was basically frozen on the spot."

I almost ripped the cushion I was sitting on. "So, kinda tentacle-like?"

"Fuck, I think it really was a tentacle or something. I th-thought I may have been hallucinating so I, I tried hitting her."

"WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!"

"But she ended up punching me with brute force. Assault. I charged her for assault after that."

God, no. That couldn't be it. "..."

"H-Hey, she told me your name was Nagisa. She wanted to see you."

"R-Really? Where is she now, Yuji?" I was terrified yes, but I still need to know where my friend was.

"The county jail near my place. She wanted to see you at nighttime, when no one else at your class would be there since they've kept visiting."

"Yeah o-okay then. I'll visit her tonight. You come too okay? I think you deserve to know if that was real or not. Frankly, I wanna know myself."

"S-Seriously?! Alright then, I guess. Meet me at my place?"

I flinched at that sentence when I heard it. Eventually I swallowed the lump in my throat and replied. "Yeah, sure. And your place would be...?"

"The only 4 story mansion in town? I'm pretty sure you've seen it at least once, it's an attention grabber."

I thought of my green-haired friend and drained the fear from my voice. "Okay then. I'll be there tonight."

Writer's block again sorry. I don't think I'll be doing updates every 3 days like I used to.

Oh gid, and school's coming up. That's the worst combo. DX
