My mind is like the universe.
The stars were trails of thoughts
That flicker in the black void
In my mind.
The asteroids were bursts of memories
That wanted to be noticed as they
Plunged into the planets
And exploded, bits of rock colliding
With each other,
A painful sound that still left my ears
Ringing.
My fears were the black holes,
Huge vacuums that sucked up everything in me,
It's darkness that seemed to always leave me gasping for breath.
I would have expected it feel like falling;
But instead, it felt as if my lungs were on fire
And that I was drowning into the empty darkness of my fears.
But even with all of the chaos
That my mind has the ability to create,
From time to time
I would lay still
And watch as the stars glistened,
And how it would remind me that
The mind was a powerful thing.
It could leave you stranded in the airless space,
Or leave you starstruck by the beauty of the planets and stars that remain in the
night sky.
