          You sat in front of the large bald eagle exhibit at your local zoo, (h/l) (h/c) slightly falling in your face. Brushing it aside you glanced back up from your sketchbook at the large female eagle. She sat comfortably watching you as you sketched her. Smiling at her you held the book up to show her your progress. "What do you think, Liberty?" The eagle tilted her head, as if she actually understood, and chirped at you. "Thanks, glad ya think so."

          Liberty settle back down and continued to watch you through the strong wire fencing that kept her inside. She was used to you by now and always came over to listen to you or watch as you drew in your sketchbook. The zoo, in particular the eagle enclosure, was a big stress reliever for you. Of course you weren't always there for release purposes, it was just a nice place to go in the small town you called home. However, today was a time you were there to relive yourself of anxiety and stress. To your dismay your parents were having yet another fight and to top it off school hadn't gone that well today either.

           Normally you didn't get much trouble from bullies as they hardly noticed you because of your quiet shyness. But every now and then you attracted the wrong person's attention at the wrong time. Luckily for you your best friend, Mathew Williams, had come to your rescue. Well more accurately Gilbert, Mathew's good friend, had saved you, but you counted it as Mathew too because he had brought it to the albino's attention.

           Mathew wasn't noticed much either so you two got along really well, so of course he helped out. Gilbert had chased off the three girls who had been tormenting you pretty easily and the pair had comforted you afterwards. They had asked you why those girls had been after you and you told them it was because they found out about your crush on Mathew's older brother Alfred. Coincidentally, the leader of their little posy, Lucy, also had a crush on him and she was furiously jealous. Why? Well even though you and Mathew weren't noticed much, Alfred was. And almost every day you three would walk to their house after school. You didn't see why she was so concerned. Alfred usually didn't even address you by name on those trips, and payed you just about as much attention as he did his brother, which was very little. Half the time he even forgot you two were walking with him.

          Sighing you leaned back on the bench and starred at the sky. "I just don't know Liberty." You told your eagle friend. "Life just seems to hate me today."

           "How do you figure?" Squeaking you jumped at the sudden reply and fell off the bench. Had she just replied?! Eagles don't speak English! Blinking in confusion you looked at Liberty. She had hopped back at your sudden movement, but she wasn't looking at you. Her gaze was tilted upward. Following her eyes your heart skipped a beat. Alfred was leaning over the bench. So it had been him. That made a lot more sense. "You ok, (y/n)?" He actually knew your name?

          The heat rising in your cheeks you turned away and picked up your sketchbook. "Y-yes...I-I'm ok." You said softly and averted your eye, trying to hide your red face. He chuckled and hopped over the bench and offered you a gloved hand.

           "Here, let me help you up." He smiled brightly at you. Slowly you took his hand and he pulled you up. "Sorry I scared ya." He sat back on the bench and patted the spot next to him. The spot you had fallen off of. You sat next you him, but made sure to keep a good space in between you two. Hugging your sketch book and pencil close to your chest your eyes locked onto your (f/c) sneakers. "Something wrong?" Alfred asked you, scooting a bit closer. "Your book isn't hurt, right? Sorry if it is." He leaned in to try and take a closer look.
