Chapter Twelve ~ Embarrassing Families.

 The result show soon rolled in and along with the rest of the contestants (except for Lorna as she had sadly got the flash vote) Skyway Avenue stood waiting on the stage for their name to hopefully be called. It was the worst part of the show along with the flash vote; waiting to see if your time on the X Factor and dream can continue or whether in a matter of seconds it is destroyed by the four judges and the public watching at home and in the audience. It was nerve racking to say the least.

“SKYWAY AVENUE!” Dermot near enough shouted.

In the space of seconds the girls went from absolute nervous wrecks to overjoyed and ecstatic as they celebrate by fist pumping the air, jumping around and shouting various celebratory phrases such as 'YES!' 'OH MY GOD' 'WEEK TWO!'.

Sprinting off stage into the arms of the Kingsland Road boys who were the first contestant to know their fate. Shannon was engulfed into a tight hug off Thompson while Chloe was enveloped into a equally as tight hug off Connor. Hesitantly, they all pulled away and slowly made their way backstage to be greeted by their widely smiling and insanely proud family and friends.

Shannon was pulled away by her two twin brothers, her mother Susan, her father Martyn along with her best friend and her brothers fellow Harry Potter cast member Daniel Radcliffe to congratulate her upon getting through the first week of the competition.

“You have no idea how proud we are of you sweetheart!”

“Yeah, that's why mum is always boasting about you to her friends at work, I'm surprised they haven't sacked her yet!” James laughed, hugging his five year younger little sister tightly.

“James... Do be quiet.” His mother sighed, Shannon was used to this. Her older brothers were always the joking type and to be honest it was pretty funny how easily they could aggravate their mother.

“Or what? You'll ground me, I'm twenty-seven you can't do that.” James retorted as Shannon tried to control her giggles.

“Oh, can't I?”

“Shann, just to tell you Lorna has been sent home.” Thompson interrupted, his family and friends stood right behind him.

“Oh, this is Shannon?! Oh my, she is beautiful JJ!” Thompson's mother, Julie, cooed making the colour rise to Shannon's cheeks.

“Mummmm...” Thompson groaned.

“And you must be Shannon's mother, your daughter is extremely talented to say the least!”

“Isn't she just? Your son is equally as talented as well, such the ladies man it seems too!”

“I'm sorry...” Thompson awkwardly trailed as he and Shannon stood to the side watching as their mothers went on and on and on about their children.

“I predict they will get together one day. Imagine the grand-children, Susan! They'll be so talented.”

“God, this is embarrassing.” Shannon muttered, shaking her head at her mother and now brothers and father who had now joined in the conversation.

“Looks like Chloe and Connor are going through the same as well.” Thompson stated, pointing over to where Chloe's and Connor's mothers were telling embarrassing stories of them.

“Chloe was always the clumsy and embarrassing children especially in public. This one time in ASDA Chloe was being her idiotic self and trying all these different stretches and poses when one went, uh, wrong. She kicked Dan straight in his crotch, me in the face and fell and knocked over a whole self full of bottles.” Chloe's mother said, trying not to laugh while she told the story.

Everyone burst out into laughter and as a way to try and hide her red face she wrapped her dirty blonde hair around her face.

“Aw, don't be embarrassed, I've done worse.” Connor chuckled, pulling her hair away from her face.

“Oh really? I bet I can still beat your most embarrassing story.”

“Probably.”

Connor laughed and received a deathly glare off Chloe shutting him up in an instant.

“Piss off.”

“This is the time every Tumblr user comes along and makes countless post's about how much they ship you two.” Dan joked.

“Okay, okay, shut up!” Chloe rolled her eyes

It was midnight when both Kingsland Road and Skyway Avenue returned to X Factor house to some unwanted news...
