Shannon's P.O.V
Everyone stared at us as we walked inside. I hated it, it made me feel insanely insecure. They had the same expression they had on their faces when yesterday when Tyler was rushed into hospital... Please no.
“Shann...” Sam Bailey started, oh dear God no! “James and Oliver have been in a car crash, Oliver is fine but their worried about James so he's been took into hospital to check he isn't injured any more than they think he is. I'm so sorry.”
“I wanna go see him.” I simply stated.
“I'll come with you.” Thompson jumped in, taking Shannon's hand in his.
“You don't ha-”
“I want to.” He smiled softly.
“I'll drive you if you want?” Becky asked to which Shannon replied with a small nod and smile.
I led the way out of the X Factor house, Becky and Thompson hot on her heels to the car parked out front where in a matter of minutes we were buckled in and on our way to the nearest hospital where James currently was.
As soon as they arrived, I jumped out of the car and sprinted into the hospital as quick as she could while Thompson struggled to keep up with her. At the reception desk a old grey haired woman sat behind it, typing away ignoring the fact a out of breath twenty two year old was stood in front of her trying to get her attention. Ignorant much?
“James Phelps, where is he?”
“I'm sorry, I can't tell you. Harry Potter fan?” She responded with out even taking a glance at Shannon.
“No, his sister.”
“Oh, well I'll take your word. He's in A&E, room 13 I belie-"
Before she could even finish her sentence I began my run to A&E which was on the other side of the hospital. Finally, I found him, Oliver and my parents all placed in one cramped and ugly hospital room. The usual and horrible smell of disinfection found it's way upto my nostrils to which I crinkled up my face in disgust at. Thompson arrived at the room minutes after, panting for air and sweaty.
“Jesus...” He breathed.
“How is he?” I asked, making her way over to James' bed side.
He slept silently. Cuts, grazes and bruises were littered over his pale skin, his arm and side of his face was covered by blood stained bandages.
“The doctor said he should be OK apart from a broken wrist and deep cut on the side of his face. They've just done some test's to see if he has any internal injurys just a precartion but the doctors doubt it.” Her father informed.
“What happened?”
“Shannon, dear, sit down please? You're making me nervous.” My mother quietly asked, her head not rising from where it was looking down at her lap.
I looked around for any seats but there wasn't one so Thompson gestered to his lap as a seat for I which she happily took in an instant.
“We were driving home from the show, I was driving and James was in the passenger seat. We went through a traffic light and some drunk driving idiot went through the one adjacent to us on red; he hit us on the passenger side at full speed. Luckily, the car didn't spin or anything it just got one heck of a battering on one side.” Oliver explained.
“What's happened to the git who did it?” Thompson asked, looking sincerely worried about the well being of my brother.
“Took away by the police.”
“Good.” I mumbled. “I-I'm going to get some air, come get me if you know anything.”
I stood up and made my way quickly out of A&E. I hated hospitals with a passion. Why did such a good day have to be ruined by an idotic drunk driver? Down the corridor behind me I heard someone shouting my name repeativly. I stopped and turned to see Thompson running like a manic towards me.
“SHANNON! Thank God! C'mon, let's go to the cafe.”
And with that, Thompson intertwined his hand with his and led me towards the cafe, keeping me close to his body as if something was going to snatch me away. In the cafe, Thompson sent me away to go find a table while he brought us some food and drinks. An alone table in the corner of the cafe is what I picked. People stared as I sat down, obviously noticing I was 'one of those girls from that X Factor group' most probably.
Thompson arrived at the table, a worn red tray in hand carrying all the food and drink he's purchased.
“A tea for the lady...”
A cup of tea was placed in front of me before I cautiously sipped it, in case it was too hot for my liking.
“I can't believe it... Why now?” I sighed, Stirring my tea around and around and around.
“What?”
“First Tyler and now James like what else is going to go wrong? They say they come in three's. Tonight was suppose to he happy celebration time not let's sit in a hospital worried sick about your older brother.”
“You couldn't help it, thing's like this happen for a reason.”
I scoffed, what the hell was he on about?. “Why would a death and a car crash happen for a reason?”
“Maybe so a shy boy who likes a girl could finally confess his love for the girl?” Thompson shrugged, what was he suggesting here.
I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. “What are you on about?”
Thompson took a large, loud intake of oxygen before quickly in one breath saying;
“IKindaLikeYouButIDon'tKnowHowToTellYouBecauseI'mCrapAtThingsLikeThis,Sorry.”
