I sat on the beach by myself in San Diego thinking.
Tomorrow was the big day and I was nervous like no other. My family had flown down and Kalin's family had driven and flown down from all over, they were all staying in hotels around the beach that I was sitting on.
I watched as the waves crashed against the shore and then go back to the ocean, it was therapeutic.
I imagined the waves as my anxiety crashing onto my body and then it slowly going away, I made a mental note to focus on the waves if I got nervous tomorrow.
I got up and walked down the beach in the formation that I had practiced earlier in the day. I stopped where the alter would be placed, I went through my vows that I had memorized and stumbled back up the beach to the beginning to do it all over again.
I whispered my vows to myself for the 4th time when someones arms wrapped around my waist. I jumped back and quickly whipped my head around to find Kalin smiling down at me. I breathed a sigh of relief and turned around in his embrace so I was facing him.
"What are you doing." He gave me a kiss.
"Oh Im just looking for seashells." I lied.
"Did you find any you liked?" He asked.
"Not yet." I gave him a weak smile.
"Well I just wanted to check on you." He kissed the top of my head.
"I love you." He gave me a tight hug before walking back up the beach to the hotel.
"Oh and Abby." I turned around. "Your vows sound good." He winked.
