"Kalin you did not!" I stood in front of a brand new black Land Rover with tears in my eyes.
"It a half Christmas, half birthday present." He handed me the keys. "I couldn't decide if I wanted to give it to you on Christmas or your birthday so I decided Id give you it between both." He smiled.
"You could call it a new years present." He said as I unlocked the Land Rover LR4 and we got inside.
"I thought you might want a different car then mine but still pretty close so I got you a Land Rover." I looked around at the black leather interior with a huge dash full of buttons and a large touch screen.
"Kalin its so beautiful, I can't believe you did this."
"Anything for my princess." He smiled.
And that was the last time I saw him smile for a long time...
