"You've done it, Aspenmist. Well done. Songbird seems very aware now. I'm glad you agreed to do this." Silverwhisper meowed.

"It was not an easy task." Aspenmist murmured, remembering the horrified and worried look in her friends eyes.

"It's fine, Aspenmist. Do you remember what she did to you and your kits?" Aspenmist snapped her head back as she heard those words.

"She has already faced her punishment, Silverwhisper!"

"A punishment is when both feel as if they had paid they debt. She does not feel like sorry is enough." Aspenmist fell quiet. What could she say to those words?

"Anyway.. Those shadowy tendrils were a great idea. They even frightened me." Aspenmist loved praise, but she had this feeling that was eating her alive. Was it guilt? Was it the same feeling Songbird had, after she had realized her mistake? When she was banished from ThunderClan?

"Aspenmist, do not linger on questions that aren't important. Let go." Aspenmist's soft eyes looked over to Silverwhisper.

"I don't want you in my mind. Stop that." Aspenmist hissed.

"You're tense. Songbird has a future. It will have much praise, and much scolding. Her kits are only a small part." Aspenmist looked away.

"Your kits.." Silverwhisper meowed. Aspenmist looked up.

"They are playing in the river. I can hear them." Silverwhisper meowed.

"Watch them for me, please." Aspenmist tried to ask, but instead, it sounded more demanding. Silverwhisper didn't seem to care, as she simply nodded and left.

Aspenmist stared into FireClan's pool. It held so many different things that she could see. The future of the cats who were there, their kits, and the kits after them. Though she could see all this, there is only certain things she can say, or react to. Once FireClan was blessed by StarClan, Aspenmist had become the head-captain. Her job was to make sure the cats did as their futures spoke. But for some reason, this had made Aspenmist empty. Suddenly, she felt something soft on her shoulder.

"You need to take a break once in awhile. Your so tense, I can feel it myself." Lionbrair meowed. Aspenmist turned her head to look at him.

"I'm sorry." She meowed.

"I've been over-working myself to make sure everything goes right. Any slight change could effect everything." Aspenmist explained.

"I know. I used to be second-command for ThunderClan. Since I'm your best friend, I came to help FireClan. I know how stressful it is to work alone." Aspenmist suddenly let out a yowl of frustration.

"I just want Songbird's Future to be completed, so we can move forward. But time is moving so slow.." Aspenmist complained.

"Then stop watching the time." Lionbriar smiled. Aspenmist looked at him with annoyed eyes. Finally, she laughed.

"Fine, fine. I'll give it a rest." Aspenmist purred.

"Thanks, Lionbriar. I know you're here for me." Lionbriar nodded as Aspenmist headed out the den.

"But really.. How much longer do we have to wait?" She thought to herself, staring up at the stary sky.
