Sting immediately got off of you, and in return, held out his hand so that you could get back up. You dusted off your clothes before your eyes met Sting's, and the blonde was quick to look away. You huffed at his shamelessness, and at the fact he still hadn't dropped his habit of looking where he wasn't supposed to.
"S-sorry?" he tried.
You quickly cut him off, "Don't even bother; your attempts at apologizing are just as fruitless as you not apologizing at all."
You did a double-take of your surroundings, trying to wrap your head around what had just happened. All that you got from your scattered thoughts were: flash of light, seperation, no Rogue. You tried to organize your thoughts, since you were obviously going to have to do all the thinking, but you failed to do so.
It was most definitely an act of magic; that, or the gods decided to have a bit of fun and pretend we were mindless pawns that would move upon another one's will.
Whoever it was, they would be somebody that you wouldn't want to cross paths with. To be able to contain a great amount of magic power and be able to put it to good use is something that the average wizard would not be able to accomplish over the course of a single night.
"So...what are we going to do?" Sting, who had interrupted your thoughts one too many times, asked, utterly clueless and lost. Although, you couldn't blame him, who wouldn't be in this kind of situation?
Since you didn't really have a solid plan yet, you decided to tell the best and most obvious (and one of the only) course of action the two of you could take at the very moment. "It'd be best if we found Rogue or at least somebody we know. Then we can team up and think of what to do next."
"Great idea!" Sting's face lit up, "Why didn't I think of that?! (Y/N), you're a genius!"
"Mhm."
"Let's go, then!" Sting exclaimed, grabbing your wrist and dragging you to a random direction.
After a few minutes of running, Sting suddenly slowed his pace to a jog, which soon turned into a walk. You knew he wasn't getting tired, because it would take much more to exhaust the Dragon Slayer, which meant the idiot got himself lost.
"(Y/N)?" he began cautiously, "Where exactly are we supposed to be going? I think I just got ourselves even more lost."
Not surprising. "Keep walking, Eucliffe. We'll stumble upon something--eventually."
Sting nodded in understanding before he let go of your wrist, and he began walking, checking on you now and then to see if you were still walking behind him. He began whistling quietly, his hands behind his head as he continued walking.
"Hey, (Y/N)?" he suddenly asked, when he was sure he got your attention, he continued, "Where were you when you suddenly disappeared? You worried everyone back at the guild."
You raised both your eyebrows, before they sunk again, "Ah--I never did tell you guys. Anyway, remember when I locked myself up in my room for the longest time? And you came to check on me without Rogue knowing?"
"....yeah," the confused and utterly lost expression on Sting's face ( which he didn't even bother trying to hide) gave away that he didn't know what the hell you were talking about.
His blue eyes suddenly lit up and his expression changed to one of realization, "....oh! I remember that, yeah! It was a while after Rogue hit you in the face with a roar, right?"
"Right...." you replied, "A while after you left, Zeref appeared in my room and he suddenly put me to sleep--when I woke up, I was already in Alvarez, where all the people you guys were fighting came from. I was something like Zeref's hostage but then I escaped with Natsu."
"And you're okay?" Sting asked, "No injuries? No trauma? Anything like that?"
"Why wouldn't I be?" you countered, "I am (Y/N) (L--Dragne--(L/N)."
"Huh?"
You waved your hand at him, "Nothing, nothing. Got my words jumbled up, nothing more."
You quickly dismissed the conversation and the both of you continued walking in an unkown direction. You stumbled upon a forest-esque kind of place. You were busy entertaining yourself by looking at the strange, unusual plantlife, occassionally glancing at Sting to make sure he hadn't wandered off.
Your surroundings were dotted with plants--some big and some tiny, with exotic colors and unearthly shapes. It made you wonder why you didn't go out often, if this was what you'd be seeing. It was an amazing sight, to say the least; that plants could morph into something beyond recognition.
Then, your eyes landed on the male walking in front of you. Sting Eucliffe, your best friend and the male you were the most fond of, next to Rogue of course. Maybe it was the fact he was always nice to you, even though you had heard from others that he was a cocky little bastard who's ego was too big for his own good.
Your (e/c) landed on his unruly blond hair, which you had never seen fixed and arranged--it was most likely impossible to do. Although his hair was always messy, it made up for that by being incredibly fluffy and soft to the touch.
Sting's form was also something admirable about him, he was muscular and he loved showing off. He managed to pull off one earring and still look great. The thin scar over his right eye suited him as well, lucky him.
All in all, whoever the hell Sting was gonna end up with was both a lucky and unlucky bastard.
Too immersed in your own thoughts, you had collided into Sting's bare back, making him nearly stumble. From your point of view, all you could see was Sting's back and the back of his hair, but you could tell he saw something interesting.
"What is it?" you asked, "Do you see something?"
"Yeah!" Sting whisper-yelled, "It's a duck...thing! Oh! Two ducks! That's amazing!"
Your jaw dropped at his ignorance and you smacked the back of his head, making him turn around to glare at you, a hurt look on his face as he rubbed the back of his head.
"What?" he whined.
"Are you kidding me?!" you yelled, "A duck?! The world could be ending in the next hour and you're concerning yourself with a duck?!"
"But I'm hungry," he responded, "can we kill it? And then you can cook it with your magic! Yeah! That's a great idea! I'm proud of myself!"
". . . ."

[ A/N ]:
hey guys i know this was just a filler w/ you and sting running around like complete idiots but i had to put something up right?
i didnt want to do something uncalled for because it might interfere with the plot of the new chapters so i decided to go with something lighthearted and amusing
the recent chapters are mainly focusing on fairy tail so i dont have anythingto work with and thats why its mainly filler chapters, just like the last chapter, except i included part of the plot there
[ completely pointless] im going to cut my hair later~ ♡
