Body Swap *A Riley McDonough Fan Fiction* (Book One Of B.S.S.)

The One Thing I Need To Say

I know the last chapter confused a lot of people with the POV's but I will tell you that when it says Hailey's POV It really dose mean Hailey, and same with Riley's POV. So yea I hope that clears some things up.

Hailey's POV

Connor finally stopped crying after about 30 minutes. He sat on the end of my bed for another 15 minutes until a nurses rolled Riley in then he said that we needed 'alone time' which Riley and I both know it's really 'I'm going to sit outside the door and listen to your conversation without your knowledge'.

Riley sat on a wheelchair beside my bed. I noticed that he no longer has a shirt on and bandage covered most of his chest. The parts that were visible were red and bruised, Blood has began to seep through his bandages. "Riley" My voice came out rusty. "What happen to you?"

He looked down at himself. "Um... The seatbelt cut me." he said then looked up. "Not very safe is it?" he laughed and I frowned. He must have seen me because his laughter died down. "I'm sorry" he looked back down. "you know it could be worse. A lot worse Hailey. I almost lost you."

I reached a crossed and grabbed his hand. "But you didn't" he looked at me and I just got lost in he's brown eyes are a few seconds before he did something. He pressed his palms again to my cheeks before pressing his lips on mine. It shock me at first, it's been so long since I've kissed Riley and I miss it so much.

We broke apart but made eye contact "You know what the good thing about to day was?" I asked Riley.

"What that Connor didn't kill us?" He said with a chuckle.

"See Hailey I told you it was my fault!" Connor cried from the other side of the door. I gave a short laugh as Riley looked confused.

"The good thing about today is that we are ourselves again."

"I think I'm going to miss being a girl" Riley said smiling.

I began to laugh "Oh Ri, you haven't even experienced a half of it."

"You're probably right, and I rather be looking at you then me" he said. how sweet. "Because you have no idea how to style my hair" he reached up and pushed his hair back. That's less sweet.

I gently punched Riley in the arm. "Hailey there's one thing that I really need to say and it's well overdue."

"What is it?" I asked looking down and laced my fingers with his.

"It's three words in every language" he sang. "It's how much, I love you" I looked at him with his wide smile "I love you Hailey" he said then kissed me once again.

~ Flash Back Over~

3 years later.

Riley's POV

It's been three years since the accident. Do I regret it? Not for a moment.

Today is going to  be one of the best days of my life since I told Hailey that I loved her. Today i'm going to asked her to marry me.

I know what your thinking, I just turned 21 and I want to get married? Yes. I do because I don't want to get married to any girl and want it to be Hailey.

I stood next to the fountain, yep that fountain. The fountain that gave me the worse day and the best day of my life. Not at the same time of course. I texted Hailey telling her to meet me here.

My heart begin to rase a mille a minute when I seen her walking down the path. Other the last three years she hasn't really changed. She still has her beautiful green/brown eyes  and her short brown hair, She's still absolutely breathtaking.

"Hey Riley" The beauty in front of me said.

"Hey Hailey" I said sitting down on the edge of the fountain. "I have to ask you something"

She took a seat beside me before answering "What do you want to know?"

I took a deep breath in, then continued "Do you wish it never happened? I mean, do you wish we did fall into the fountain?"

She remained silent for a minute "No" she said. "Why know why?" I shocked my head "Because it we didn't, I don't think we would still be together." She told me. "Look where we have gotten" Her lips formed that smile that made her eyes sparkle and my heart melt. "I wouldn't change a thing"

"Not even for a minute?" I asked curiously

"Not even for a second" She simply said.

"Hailey there's one thing I need to ask" I said standing up. "The one thing I need to say" She looked up at me and nodded. I got down on one knee before presenting her a ring. "Hailey Wild, I promise to love you every moment forever." I began "Would you do me the extraordinary honor of marrying me?" Tears formed in Hailey's eyes before she smiled and nodded. I took her left hand before placing the ring on her finger.

I got off my knee and pulled her into a hug, picked her up and kissing her. This is probably that best feeling ever, knowing the one person you love the most, is now yours forever. I seat her down and we pulled away and put our foreheads against each others "I love you Riley" she whispered

"I love you too"

I took the idea of Hailey passing away in the car crash into consideration but then I remembered how I started the story of in Hailey's POV so I didn't. But I really thought of doing that, Not having them switch back and Riley passing away in Hailey's body but then I thought Nah let's make this a happy ending! So that what I did. Well I think it's happy. Right?

To be honest, I really had no idea where I was going with this story. I did know that I wanted to wright a shorty Before You Exit fan fiction and I think I did an okay job for then first story I actually finished.

I want to thank everyone that has Commented, Voted (Even if, just one chapter or all chapters), and the people who have just read it. Honestly I really didn't think anyone would who to read this, Let along comment and voted on it. I mean that's just crazy talk.

Also I decided to keep the cover as this one. Someone did point out that the second one looks similar to the popularity one. But I still love them both. Thank you @emilxx_ for making them for me again.
