CHAPTER NINE

I don't think Nox, or Draco even, realized how much seeig all his old things hurt me. It felt like an old scar being ripped open again. No one could understand this pain I felt. Nevertheless, it only made my wanting to bring Snape back even stronger.

My agony turned into passion, driving me into the library. The Order of the Phoenix meeting was only an hour away, so I had a little time before I had to appretate to the meeting place in Spinners End. I sat at one of the old tables in the far back, my wand giving me light as I crouched over an open book. The pages were creased and frayed with age, a slight yellow tint to them. I picked it up from the restricted section.

My yes scanned over the script, hopig to find something importaint. The books title was 'Concoctions of Life and Death', after all. It HAD to hold SOME useful information. Halfheartedly, I flipped to another page. This was provingto be quite a useless source. "Oh, Snape..." I breathed quietly. There had to be a way to bring him back.

My yes wandered upon somethig that caught my eye. Enlightened, I read back to it. "The subject of life and death is a complicated one. While it would seem one is able to stop the process of death, as well as life, with the correct potion or spell, it is also false. Not only is it an utterly obserd notion, but also a tough one. Even if the parton is brough back from the dead, who is to say they shall be the same?"

Odd, I thought, but continued reading. "And if one is killed, who is to say they will stay dead? The act of rising the dead is the most burdening and hardest act imaginable. Bringing the dead back is one thing; bringing back your loved one is a whole other."

What the bloody hell is that supposed to mean? Can I bring Snape back as himself, or can't I? How can I be sure it's him? I sighed and groaned in frustration, slamming my head into the open book. I messaged my temples and closed my eyes.

It was only for a brief moment, until someone spoke. "Having a tough time?" Asked a smooth voice. I opened my eyes and looked up, meeting Georges soft brown eyes. I forced a grin through my flustered feelings.

"More than you know." I muttered in response. The red headed man crossed his arms and leaned against a bookscase. "Dont dwell on it. You know Hermiones working it out. Once she's on something, there's no stopping her." He assured me, casting me a friendly smile. I nodded, looking down at the book.

"Yeah, I know, George. I just... I want to help." I placed a marker in the page and closed the book gentally. I felt useless in all of this. Plus, if I assisted her, perhaps it would all go along quicker. And the faster, the better. George looked downnat his wristwatch, then back up at me. "We had better get going to the meeting. The other three are already on their way. They sent me to fetch you."

I nodded. "Alright. But I'm checking his one out." I tapped the books old brown binding and walked next to George.

(Nox POV)

Finally! I thought with relief as mommy and I entered the Orders meeting room. Everyone was already here, some of them standing around the rectangular room, others reclining in one of the old wooden chairs. Harry was at the head of the table, leaning back with his arms crossed lazily. When he saw us come in, his posture straightened and he smiled lightly.
