Kyoko was not pleased. Of course she wouldn't let anyone know that. The fact that Byakuya had the nerve to take away her room key. Actually, she wasn't surprised about that at all, she knew that something like this was bound to happen. She had searched every nook and cranny of the school and she felt a wave of dizziness wash over her as she realized just how exhausted she was. When was the last time she had a proper rest? She made her way back to the despair hotel, rubbing her eyes. She stood outside her room, about to fish the key from her pocket before she remembered the key was no longer in her possession. Damn! She thought, as she leaned against her door. She exhaled and set her jaw, she wasn't going to be defeated by this.

She turned of her heels and headed over to Byakuya's door and pressed the doorbell.

She patiently waited, but no one came. She pressed the doorbell again. She waited and still, no one came. She pressed the doorbell one more time, prepared to go sleep in the nurse's office or even have a nap in one of the chairs in the library. Her thoughts were interrupted when the door opened and a sleepy voice asked "What do you want? You do realize it is two in the morning? I hope this is important."

"Yes," Kyoko responded calmly, "I haven't slept in three days and I wish to sleep. So please return my room key."

The door opened a fraction wider, Byakuya leaned against the doorframe, clad in a white shirt and boxer shorts, he wasn't wearing his glasses and Kyoko couldn't help but think it was strange to see the arrogant guy in this state.

"You want your room key?" He smirked, "Well, have you decided to talk?"

"I still can't tell you anything because I don't know myself." Kyoko closed her eyes, not letting her calm demeanor disappear.

"In that case, I can't let you have it." He said, "None of us know who you are. It makes it difficult to trust you."

Kyoko sighed. "Listen, I'm sorry, but parts of my memory is missing. If I knew, I would tell you."

Byakuya didn't say anything.

"Please. I just want to sleep. I'll return the key in the morning. I'm exhausted." Kyoko almost whispered. The lack of sleep was really getting to her.

Byakuya sighed. "I can't give you back the key."

Kyoko nodded and slowly turned and walked to her door, she let herself slide down against the wall and closed her eyes.

Byakuya watched in confusion, was she really that tired? She did say she hadn't slept in three days. Even if she's suspicious, she is a valuable asset during the trials.

He sighed and walked over to Kyoko He kneeled beside her and poked her face, her eyes fluttered open and she looked at him in bewilderment.

"What do you want?" She mumbled.

"Even if you are suspicious, that doesn't protect you from anyone with the intent to kill. Sleeping in the open makes you an easy target. I'll let you sleep in my room. There I can keep an eye on you and make sure you don't do anything suspicious."

Kyoko sighed as she considered his words.

"Fine. " She stood up followed Byakuya back into his room, he closed the door after them and turned to face her.

"No funny business, alright?" He said, pointing an accusatory finger at her.

"Same goes for you." Kyoko said as she removed her jacket and placed it on the table next to a folded up towel. She removed her boots and socks, trying to ignore the intense gaze from Byakuya.
