In this chapter, Percy and Annabeth are famous pirates. They have never talked or seen each other. Also, there will be no special ship speak 'cause the only things I know are, 'ahoy!'. And this'll be like, probably the 80's.
Enjoy.

Percy

'Men! Entertain me!", Percy shouts out to his crew.

The crew start a song, one he particularly enjoys. He grins. His crew is the best. He wouldn't trade them for the world.

His ship-Jackdaw (a/n: anyone else get a special reference from a particular game?)- rocks gently back and forth. Today is a good day. The sun shines high, a perfect weather for hunting other ships. Only problem is, he hasn't seen a single ship since a long time.

The song ends, with the entire crew and himself giving a single clap.

Percy scans the sea with his binoclaurs (a/n: spelling?), trying to finally a target. Finally, at his far east, he sees a huge ship. A Man-o-War like his.

He grins again.

"Oi, you! Spread the message that we're going to attack that big beast. Set the cannons, ready the ropes, and brace yourselves for impact!". The man Percy has spoken to doesn't need to spread the message; since Percy has shouted, everyone has already heard it. They scramble about in a hurry, shouting out to each other.

Jackdaw sets sail, and he guides it towards the other ship. Faster and faster, they approach the Man-o-War. When they do reach it, he sees that the crew of the enemy ship are already ready for them. "Brace for impact!", Percy shouts out.

Jackdaw rams it's target head-on. It shakes violently, and he almost falls over. But in that split second, he scans the whole ship.

It has a grey owl (seriously?)as a figurehead, and it's sails, too, are grey. There are a lot of men aboard, all with swords and guns at the ready. The captain of the ship is woman. Golden hair tied in a ponytail beneath a ragged brown captain hat. She's tall, with a dagger hanging on one side and a sword at the other. She seems to be from a rich family, with her nicely embroided clothes, and a brown belt at the waist. A gold necklace hangs from her neck. With a start, he realizes that this is the girl whose posters are hanging everywhere: Annabeth Chase.

Her ship dodges the next ram, and he grits his teeth. The battle goes on. She manages to deliver lots of perfect shots, but Jackdaw's steel plates on it's surface reduces the damage. In the end, her ship's immobilized and the sails are on fire. He has succeeded once again!

Some of his men start shooting at the enemy. The others throw ropes over to Annabeth's ship and bring it closer.

Without waiting for the two ships to be entirely joined, Percy jumps to her ship. He hits the deck and rolls and then stands up with his sword, Riptide, already out. An enemy comes at him. Percy ducks and his sword passes over his head. He swipes at the poor man legs and cuts through flesh. The man is left screaming and withering in pain.

He goes from one enemy to the other; but his main target is the helmsman (or woman). He sees her, standing with some of his own crew surrounding her. When he walks up to them, his men fall back respectfully.

Annabeth looks at his, and her stormy grey eyes burn with rage. They start circling each other. "Are you ever going to come at me or are you just scared?", he taunts.

"Are you Percy Jackson?". Is the response he gets back. So she knows him and he senses that is because of the 'Wanted' posters everywhere. Percy grins and gives mocking bow. "You must be Annabeth Chase. Pleased to make your aqquintance".

This taunt sets her off and she comes at him with her dagger at lightining speed. He deflects with the same speed. The go back and forth, parrying and deflecting. He feigns and jabs at her right, but she catches it with her dagger. There is no time to even breath in this fight. Percy slashes and she ducks. He steps back and she gets up, and then they start circling each other like predators again. He smirks at her, then charges. In the blink of an eye, they're at eye level. She smiles cruely, and stares pointedly at the dagger she has at the front of his throat.

Her smile disappears when he says, "I suggest you don't take even a step back".

He has his sword at the back of her neck.

Annabeth glares at him. "So, who wins Jackson? You or me?". Percy gives her a sarcastic smile. "If me and my crew leave your ship, go away, would you survive... With the excellent condition your ship's in?"

He smiles in satisfaction when she understands what he is saying and gives him a look of pure loath. He himself didn't no what he was saying. When had he come up with that decision? But maybe... Just maybe working with her would be good. He could be more famous than ever, more powerful than ever.

They have a staring competition. Finally, she mutters, "I hate you already". He sheaths his sword and she does the same with her dagger. They shake hands. Or Percy would like to call it a I'm-going-to-crush-your-hand-but-I'm-controlling-myself-handshake.

He looks back and surveys the scene. Everyone had stopped fighting to look at them both. Annabeth's crew have their guards up, Percy can tell, but they hesistate when they see their captain stand beside the enemy.

"Friends", he shouts. "From now on, Chase and her crew work for- I mean, work with us. If I see any of her lads picking a fight with my men, the last thing they'll see before getting unconcious is my fist. It'll be the same for my own crew. I think there was one who got introduced to it a few days ago. Who was it now...?". A man raises his hand. His nose seems broken. "Me, sir", he says in an embarrased tone.

"Right-". The ship tilts to the left, almost throwing half of the men aboard. Without waiting for an order, they run and jump towards his ship. At his side, Annabeth mutters something, then does the same.

Before he can go, he remembers whose ship this is. Loot! The ship starts sinking. But he needs to get all the treasure. There could be metal worth millions here! Maybe money too.

"Percy!", Annabeth shouts from Jackdaw. "Come on! My ship won't hold for long!". He looks at her skepitically. "Do you think I'm going to leave all the money on this ship?!". Percy thinks he sees her roll her eyes, but he isn't sure 'cause she's standing far away.

"Listen! I'll help you gain all the money you want! We'll go and rob famous people together, okay?!". He wonders why she's so persistent. Maybe because he has offered her to work with him. Maybe she was wondering if something good would come of it.

A crate explodes at his side. He falls to the ground. He feels his back get wet. God! He scrambles up and sprints towards Jackdaw.

He reaches it just before Annabeth's ship sinks fully.

After a few minutes, he's standing near the helm.

At his left, Annabeth looks at him with her scary grey eyes. "You know", she says after a while. "That was reckless, Jackson".

Percy grins, and puts his hands on the wheel.

"Chase. I was born for reckless".

The Jackdaw sailed on into the night.

Hey! So there'll be probably a part 2.
